Just wondering if any other Michigan people would like to get together for a meet. I live in southeast Michigan. My husband and I own a gaming store, so I have the room to host one! We have a group that comes to our store every Saturday morning to watch FiM and they would love for me to have a meet there! (well I would love a meet there too lol) Just let me know if you are interested!

I am in Grand Rapids and I WOULD LOVE to go to a meet! We talked about it last year, but no one could host. There are a TON of MI ponies here! Where is SE MI? I'd love to go to your store sometime!

Sounds great! My store is in Macomb County, Clinton Township to be exact. www.gamersgauntlet.net. I was thinking sometime in the spring so that anyone travelling far wouldn't have to worry about snow. I have never been to a meet before, so I am not exactly sure what goes on at them. I do have some ideas but not sure if they are dumb or not lol. :)

Yeah, there was a post six months to a year ago on the old board about an MI meet. It might have been before the big FIM explosion, so there were fewer people. We hemmed and hawed about where and when but never settled on a time and place. I think most of us had a money/gas/time problem, too.
Moony: If you're in Lansing, and Mermaid and I are in GR, there's three of us that could carpool!

Ohhh!!! I want to soooo bad! We live in Virginia now, but my husband is from Spring Arbor and we both went to Albion for college. If by some small chance you hold it while we're there visiting family we'll totally come! We'll be there for a week in June, but what are the chances!

I'd love to come! I'm from Kalamazoo, btw, in Southwest Michigan. If there were other SW ponies who want to come, I would gladly volunteer my car and driving skills to get us over to the other side of the state! :) (I can take four people, plus me in the driver's seat.)

June sounds good to me too!! I will get a list of dates for what we have open. I think a magic the gathering prerelease is in june, so we couldn't have it that day. The store would be too packed lol! We have over 5,000 sq ft of space so we can fit a lot of people, but I would like it to just be a pony day. :) If any Saturdays in June are better for people, let me know! After we pick a date we can put together all of the details. I am going to make a craigslist posting about it to see if there are any other pony lovers in the area that would like to come. :)

Yay!!! I'll plan our trip home for that week, if I can! We'll even stay an extra day! We usually drive home on Saturday! I sooo hope this works out! :) My husband is limited as to when he can take days off because of the nature of his work. I'll let you know which weeks look likely for him to get the ok!

I love the UP!!! You guys are a ways up there though. I think it was like a 5 hour drive when we went camping there in college. I don't remember the exact location, but super pretty!

Where are you at? I'm from Wabash, went to college in Michigan. I like the midwest soooo much better than Virginia! Better weather and the people are nicer!

If i can get my own apartment, (when i do!) i want to host a meet totally :P plus my friend im hoping to eventually room with is a brony so it all works out haha. he would totally agree with a meet up.

Darn it! My husband is saying he doesn't think we'll be able to come home in June. He's taking education classes and has to take days off sometimes to observe elementary school classes. He doesn't think he'll have enough days off accrued by June to take a week off. This totally sucks! We didn't get to go home at Christmas this year either!

YES! Yes! Yes! I would love to attend another MI meet and you sound like you have the space...
I live in Lexington so it's not to far of a drive for me, just over an hour.
I was thinking late May or early June would be better than later - don't want it too close to the Fair as it will be harder to get time off of work. If you need help planning I will be more than willing I've hosted a few meets before and attended several meets and Fairs.

Thought I'd give this a bump since it's been a few weeks. Any other word... Are we gonna pull one off this year? I would love to have one since if there's not going to be there will be a MI MLP Yard Sale at my house. I'm planning on moving and need to offload a TON of extra stuff. All my G2s and G3s are going, even will be some G1s.

What are we thinking of doing for a meetup? If it's somewhere where the OP mentioned, I can easily get to it...since it's the same county as me.

Well for those of you who live close enough to drive to Lexington (Port Huron Area) I fully plan on having a My Little Pony Yard Sale near the end of April or first weekend of May.

Sorry I went MIA! Owning a store has taken over my life. Anyway, a Brony friend of mine is going to help me put the pony meet together. We will be airing the last season of FiM on our big screen while the event is going on. We are thinking Saturday, July 21 from 9am-?. Let me know if that date is okay!

I'm on the other side of Oakland County, but doable.
Also, anyone with Autism, there is an Autism social occasionally held at St. Anastasia on John R. just south of Long Lake Road. I don't have the date for the next one. But there could be a pony meet at the next one. You just need $5 for admittance. I'll get the date for the next one.

Sorry I haven't been on the corral too much lately...I am still interested in this meet, and July 21st should work for me. It's the last day of the summer program where I work, but I shouldn't have to be there that day. :) I liked the facebook page, so will keep an eye out for info on there, too.

Yes even though it is at my store, I want people to buy, sell, trade! Really I am just doing this for me because I want to have a pony meet, not to make money for my business. This event will be completely free. But if you are planning on using one of my tables to show off/sell/trade your ponies, you will need to reserve one. There is no charge but I only have so many. :)
And btw, our store is over 5500sqft of space. There is plenty of room there so don't think you will be cramped! We have over 100 people there at a time and there is still tons of wiggle room. :) If you want to check out pictures of the store you can go to the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/gamersgauntlet I have a bunch of pics on there of the space we will be using.

Hahaha... I kinda forgot about this! Saturdays are almost always out for me as I'm manager at work on those days. But I'm glad it works for most everyone else! Have fun!
