Sorry folks, turns out it was a hoax! Weep with me! :cloud:
Apparently Hewlett-Packard is uploading MLP themed laptop mock-ups (just Photoshops at this point) of MLP FIM themed laptops. AMAZING. Well, I was thinking of replacing my laptop in a year or two anyway, so this is timely.

"My Little HP" is the result of a partnership between HP and Hasbro that wants to provide families with an affordable and intuitive machine. Fun learning programs custom built by HP and Hasbro studios to help children learn how to read, write, and count with the help of their favorite characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and yet still remain a functioning laptop for parents.

A: Of course! While "My Little HPs" are intended to power children through learning, the laptop must be able to function for use as a regular laptop.

A: Windows 7 Home Premium© is to be the default Operating Environment.

I'm actually glad it's fake. Once I saw it on Equestria Daily, I realized I could never afford to buy all those laptops!

You can still get custom skins for your notebooks. I'm sure it'd be cheaper than buying anything straight from the manufacturer.

I was sad it was a troll, though you never know, now that people have seen the interest we might see custom cases / laptop skins soon :)

that would be so cool if it was real. one thing is you can make a custom skin to put on your computer that looks just like that, and then you don't have to buy a new laptop.

Oh well, no biggie anywho.... HP laptops are kind of horrible anyway. xD
But a cute idea, lap top skins like this would be great.

Well, truth be told, I'd not touch a HP laptop with a ten foot pole. Bad experience with the customer support back when I still had a HP-Compaq that broke within 6 months of purchase due to a factory defect.
That said, maybe Hasbroken will consider licensing out to laptop skin manufacturers? I think it would be better if anyone with a laptop could order the skin and apply it themselves, given the wide preferences and tastes.
