@Harvestmgirl, love the outfit!  What kind of fabric did you use for the yellow top?  I like that it looks kind of shiny.  And that jacket is darling.

@Clementine, that is so cute.  Those colors go great with Toralei.  I love the way her little ears poke out of the hat. XD

Monster High underwear.  I love the black ruffle elastic but can't find it in stores now.      Thankfully I still have some more in my fabric stash and it doesn't take a lot to make these.

I finally got a new (to me anyway) digital camera!  So now, a better pic of three MH outfits I've made.  I couldn't find a pair of shoes that I liked to go with the outfit on Ghoulia, so I just left her barefoot.

Making temporary boots
-----------------------------------------------------
I was inspired by this awesome tutorial here: http://sugarnspicecreations.blogspot.com/2010/10/costume-party-musketeers-part-6.html (http://sugarnspicecreations.blogspot.com/2010/10/costume-party-musketeers-part-6.html).  I wouldn't recommend cutting the boots off the doll though; I tried it with Cleo and even though I was careful, the scissors made scratches on her leg.  So I'd just leave the boots on until you decide to take them off and just unwrap the tape pieces to remove it.

I used electrical tape instead of duct tape because it's smaller.  I cut the strips in half lengthwise to go around her foot.

First, cover the doll's foot with a square of plastic wrap and gather it at the knee.  Start with her foot and wrap with strips of electrical tape until all of her foot is covered.  Then wrap the strips around her leg until the boot is the heighth you want.  Carefully cut off the excess plastic wrap.  If you leave just a little bit of the gathered plastic wrap showing at the top, it looks kind of like lace.

Very nice!  I love all the creativity!

I'm addicted to altering barbie dresses!  The ornate ones are such a challenge!  I bought several MH patterns that I adore as well, the main thing is finding time to play!

Lovely outfits you got here! Salli´s creations are awesome. Love those undies! And Shockponie´s pink skirt is really cute.

I made a new dress for my SS Draculaura. The bow on her hair is from H&M.

Has anyone tried Simplicity 1955 patterns? Here's the one I'm talking about: http://sewing.patternreview.com/Patterns/50525#.UHiItIasrcs

Supposedly it has three sizes and the smallest size fits Bratz, so I figured they might just work for MH.

Supposedly it has three sizes and the smallest size fits Bratz, so I figured they might just work for MH.

I have it, and it's all cut out and scanned and everything...and I only tried the View E jacket. It was a bit too big in the back, but that's easily altered. Now that you mention it, I really should try some of the other pieces. It's just that...when I find a free pattern online, I nearly can't rest until I've sewn it, and the stuff I bought tends to fall by the wayside. I can tell ya'll that NG Creations (eBay) patterns have sewn up pretty well, and the Kristine Ann's dresses pattern (Etsy) didn't quite work on the inset dress - the back piece was too narrow - but the rest have worked well and quickly.

I need to look through the links on the first page of this thread, and see if I have any not already there, too...

Well. I suddenly have a very busy weekend ahead of me  :)
