i was looking on walmart's website tonight and saw the new FIM dvd is available to pre-order and they have a warning tagged under it saying "not rated, warning, this product may contain mature material, you must be 17 years old to buy this dvd" or something along those lines. LOL really walmart?! really?! what could these ponies POSSIBLY be doing!?
-
Lol, yes it's dumb. It said that when I ordered the Powerpuff Girls DVD box set from there.
I'm guessing anything that doesn't carry a theatrical rating by the MPAA is automatically tagged on their site as possibly containing mature content.
-
Some retailers do that with unrated material just to cover their butts. Unrated can mean anything from FiM to ... let's just call them "art films". Though, the TV show DOES have a rating, so that's odd.
-
Clearly it's because of all the horrific violence and adult sexual themes present in the series.

I think TV shows are just released without a rating on DVD sometimes. Powerpuff Girls carries the television rating of TV-Y7 but on the DVD box it says not rated.

Lol sounds weird!
-
Sounds reasonable. When Pinkie Pie was trying to eat all those cherries in the last episode... horrifying!
-
Really?!?! That is quite funny!!
-
LOL! :lmao:
-
Those evil Ponies!!!
-
Mature material? Like Ponies Gone Wild?

Lol! I remembering hearing this before.
I am just wondering the thoughts of the person WalMart had set up this item on their site
"Hmmmm... *looking over case* Well there is no rating... so it may be inappropriate... But I won't check and just put it as NR-17. Yep. Sounds good"
-
Hmmm.....My Little Porny?
-
That is so silly! But as others said I think it has to do with the non rating system!
