Hi! Last summer my mom was hunting some ponies for me on a yard sale and brought home a haul of a pony and a load of fakies, ammong the fakeys I found two that I did not recognize. I had quite a few fakies as a child but I am not a fakie collector so my knowledge of fakies are mostly just good enought to separate MLP from Fakies. All my research about them have been fruitless so I finally thought I would ask here is somepony could help me IDing them.
It would be nice to know what they are and if they are rare before I decide if I should custom them.
They have nothing written on hooves or on the tummy or anywhere.

I don't have any information on these really sorry apart from I know they came with a matching baby pony. I do own a mother one myself, she is purple with an orange tail & white mane, a good friend of mine gifted her to me. They're quiet a cute fakie. I hope someone has some more information on them for you :)
-
I think those are the fakies they sell at Kmart if I remember right.
-
Ohh i have one, got it when i was a kid. Theyre hair should change colors to cold and warm water and also the symbol should react to that. I have no idea of the name sorry.
-
Ah you are right! It did change color when I wet the hair! but...it still dont bring me much closer to what fakies they are...
-
You have me interested as well now lol, even though I have had this purple girl quietly sitting in my collection for years without it worrying me XD I do hope someone sees this post and can help. They are quiet an unushual fakie however, so I am not too sure if even fakie experts could say much about them.

They are Colour Magic Pony Family ponies and they came with a matching baby as fingerpaints said. They came in three different colors that i know of: pink, lavender and light blue. Their mane and their body markings change color in hot/cold water. In Denmark they were sold around the late 80s / early 90s. They came with a comb with strawberries and hearts, an "applier pen" to apply water to their body markings and two ribbons.
This is a picture of what they looked like from new:

Oh wow - that is awesome The_Loner :D
I have never seen the light blue set, its really cute too. My mummy is just like the lavender one you sold, but has issues :P I love het to bits though, she has character from being played with, which really thats what these were intended for in the first place :)

Those are really cute fakies!
-
So thats what they are...I wonder what they are generally worth, they are very cute for Fakies.^^
-
They are not worth a lot unfortunately, only $1-$2 each. I sold the complete set for €4 ($5) but they were more or less like new and with all their accessories.
-
I agree, I have had a few come & go, and generally anywhere from 50c to $2, but most of the time, unless they are in a lot of ponies, you will have them for a very long time trying to get rid of them. Fakies are unfortunately very hard to find new homes for, which is unfortunate, as there are so many cute and unique ones out there

Alright, then I know they are customizing safe at least^^
-
Wow thank you Loner! Now i finally know the name too.
