Title: January/February ATC 2:2 Swap! *please check in when cards received*

I am making a new thing for this and next month! If you need to pull out, just let me know! You'll be assigned a partner, and you make at least 2 ATCs for your partner according to their suggestions within a pony theme!Instructions1.Sign up by JANUARY 25th by putting a copying and pasting to this thread: *My Resolution is: *What theme(s) you would want *What Gen pony you prefer (if you care) *If you prefer traditional or digital art * If you would be willing to be a *wild card* The *wild card* would be that you end up with two partners ere go, with FOUR cards to make instead of TWO. All those who agree to be a wild card will have their name put in a proverbial hat and then drawn. :3 2. Partners posted by end of day JANUARY 26th. 3. PM your partner for their address.4.You must mail to your partner on (or before) the 29th (Holy Leap Year Batman!) of January. This gives you about a month to create two ATCs. 5. Check out your partner's post in this thread about what themes they may like- remember to keep everything in the realms of ponies! 6. All levels accepted! Please make sure to do your best work that you can. 7. Mail your completed card to your partner by February 29th. 8. Post to the thread that you have mailed your card. 9. Have fun and enjoy it! Rules: •You must post to the thread when you mail a card and when you receive a card so we can be sure everyone is accounted for.•You may post pictures of completed ATCs to this thread if you want but is not required. I want a carousel pony! I love windy wings, summer wings, TAFs, Luna, Celestia, and crazy ponies covered in stuff. I'd love to see one turned into a carousel pony! I also would love anything to do with Valentine's. Especially cupcakes, candy, sweet treats and hearts. Candy hearts... whatever <3

*What Gen pony you prefer (if you care)

*If you prefer traditional or digital art

I love traditional art but I would totally go for a nice digital print with some embellishments or something. mmmm... embellishments.

*What theme(s) you would want: Pretty much anything, I'm not picky. I love Firefly <3 Otherwise, I'm pretty much happy with anything my partner could come up with, be creative!

*If you prefer traditional or digital art * : Either/or , though I like mixed media stuff.

My old pony resolution has been completed, so now all I've got is getting the blind bags! And a G4 with a messed up cutie mark but I've never seen a pony with an error beyond slightly misaligned eyelashes here!

*What theme(s) you would want

I would LOVE an anniversary theme with my persona (Sakura) and/or my boyfriend's persona (Riordyn would be preferred for that theme), as our three year anniversary was on January 14th.

Aside from that, I don't really have any ideas. Just base it on whatever OC/Hasbro pony you draw I guess. Lol.

*What Gen pony you prefer (if you care)

I prefer G1 designs, but don't mind what style is used. My favorite Hasbro ponies right now are Sundance, Italian Peachy, Argentinian Peachy Variant II, Italian Snuzzle Variant V, and the pink My Pretty Pony. But as a rule I can't dislike a white pony. xD

As for OCs, you can find them all with refs at taxelponies.webs.com (the site will be updated with new OCs within a few days)

Either is fine.

Unfortunately I probably won't have time to make two extra cards.

I have never been in one of these, but have done ATC's before, would love to be part of it this swap if still open :)

*My Resolution is: To draw a bit more (this inclused ponies) this year
*What theme(s) you would want: I am happy with whatever my partner is comfortable with :)  Anything to do with my personas is always welcome, and I am also happy to supply piccies of my pet cat Jack who is like my little sidekick if anyone wanted to add him in somewhere
*What Gen pony you prefer (if you care): I don't really care, and I don't really do "gens" myself as such, but if I were to choose, probably G1, barnicle, dancing butterflies, newborn unicorns, rockin beat ponies, rainbow curl ringlets, tropical themed ponies and other nice sunny bright coloured theme ponies are always great, I also love pastel colours, winter themed ponies, eather or spring themed ponies, and halloween, I am really very easily pleased lol

Hmmm, I live with no snow so I guess snow again for me. Maybe snow + birds if someone is feeling adventurous.

G1 & G4 - Some of my favorite ponies are G1 Bowtie, Powder, Medley G4 Fluttershy, Dewdrop Dazzle & Feathermay.

Traditional is preferred, but I don't mind digital art if it is made unique.

PS February is my birthday month so a birthday theme could be cute too! My very first pony was a birthday present high flyer. I just didn't mention him earlier as he isn't very wintery.

What theme(s) you would want: Winter & snow are still current... or maybe a Valentine's theme with Aithne & Jack... but I'm up for all kinds of surprise themes, too!

What Gen pony you prefer (if you care): Stylewise, any. Most of my faves are G1 (Gusty, Butterscotch, Fizzy, the Rainbow Curl ponies etc.) but I love G4, too (Fluttershy, AJ, Granny Smith, Big Mac...). Then again, you can always surprise me. References to my persona ponies are linked in my sig if you need them.

If you prefer traditional or digital art: I prefer traditional for ATCs but a high quality print would do if that suits you better.

If you would be willing to be a *wild card*: Not this time, sorry.

It's really fun! You get a partner chosen at random, then you draw your partner an ATC based on what they want. (If you don't know what an ATC is, it's an "Artist Trading Card", a little blank cardstock roughly the size of a playing card that you draw on to trade with other artists.) Then you mail your card to your partner, and your partner mails theirs to you...so it's basically an art trade, but on collectible cards. :)

I can't wait to get started on this, I am so nervous I am going to screw up though.   I have an assorted pack of blank ATCs, and I took out the illustration board one so I could trace the card shape on to scrap paper... that way I can practice sketching on the scraps first, before doing the work on the actual cards.

Everyone has their own way of doing it. I think a bunch wait till they finish their cards. If you are like me, I try to get it before the card is done so I don't have to scramble to get a pm in time for the due date. XD

I think I tend to ask when I am done. I figure it's nice because then the person can know to be on the lookout for the card. (And if they haven't started mine yet, it's a good reminder!)

How are cards going for everyone? I'm stuck on deciding how to draw things. I keep changing the style. I think I'll stick with one I liked before and go for it. XD

I got one sketch pretty much finalized (lol, riiiight), just need to transfer it to the card (I don't have a lot of them, so I have been sketching on scrap paper).   I was trying something a bit different style wise.   Hope I don't end up ruining it once I start coloring it.   Still debating on whether to ink it or not.   

The other card I am still sort of working out in my head.   I had started on a bunch of sketches but didn't like any of them, and the idea that keeps popping in my head I am not sure if I can pull off.   We will see.

Me too! This is the stage where I'm at too. Though I had intended to ship sometime next week to give the cards plenty of time to get there. I am planning on dedicating this weekend for art stuff.

Aww, you didn't have to try and do a third one!   I am not horribly judgmental when it comes to other people's art for me.   Now my art for other people... that is a whole different story (so I do understand the frustration).   I am my own worst critic.

Oh, and the second card I did I ended up having to start over, cause I decided to ink with gel pens, and destroyed it.   The re-do I decided to try and just do the lineart in color pencil.   Not 100% satisfied, but if I kept messing with them you would never get them.






I hope you like them.  :lookround:

Edit:   I am loving the cards people have posted so far!   I can't see Ayaka's though (the image isn't fully loading).

I received my wonderful cards from fingerpaints. Love the interpretations. Still working on mine, down to the wire as usual with me! :D

You guys are doing a great job. I know the frustration of these little things. Its funny though, what we think to be a problem often the other person doesn't see at all!!!

I love them, Taxel, they are wonderful!   Though now I realize I need a much better reference of Mercury, I had a worry people might be thinking his body color is white (it's actually silver).

Yay! Glad to see things are rolling right along.

I am having HUGE internet problems at the moment. I can only get on at spurts like every three days or so. While this has helped curb my addiction to mlparena, it does not HELP doing these things!

It is supposed to be fixed this weekend and I'll be back on regularly.

Its aggravating. :(

Glittering asked for something birthday and/or Valentine's themed and I decided to draw both. Although the Valentine's card looks more like some general loveydovey thing... I just had to use those puffy stickers 'cause they matched the colours of Glittering and her BF's ponysonas perfectly. :heart: The border on the birthday card (featuring her OC Mika) is done in silver gel pen, unfortunately scanners kill all things shiny.
