Thank you everyone who participated for making this first hosting experience a positive one for me. If you haven't already please don't forget to leave feedback for your partner. This swap is officially closed. Every worked hard and the little ones all came out quite lovely.
In addition since this swap was pretty newbie friendly it is very important to send feedback so that our newer participants can start to build a reputation in the community. Please take a moment to leave kind and accurate feedback for your partner when you get your custom.

I sent my check-in via email because I thought it was due today ... of course, I also see 9's as 6's. DX At least I'm early, right?
That is to say, I am well on track with the original dates.

I'm a teeny weeny tiny bit behind things due to a number of personal things and family things! But I think it's all good now. Although I will be away for the sending date. So I might ship before then or get someone to post for me?

I've gotten a bit behind, too, because my dog got sick around the same time as the server move and had me all worried, and then I got sick AGAIN. That's twice in less than 4 weeks for me. :cry:
I may not have a lot to show for my check-in, but as long as I can have at least one solid week of good health, I will make the shipping date.
Oh, and I have my partner's info saved on my hard drive.

If anyone needs a new copy of their partners information please let me know. I don't think recent messages got transferred properly. They are still available on the archived site but I'm more than happy to resend so you can have them here. You guys are doing great I am really liking what I see so far. :)

I made it here finally too, I got a little behind on my image sending and all that, but I'm all set too. right when this new site came to be, I lost my internet connection and had a hard time getting caught up while mooching a connection from my school.

Don't worry Missam. Everyone has been very understanding about delays. After all it's taking time to locate everyone and get to the new Arena. I have complete faith in everyone and in addition if we end up having a few people whip a little bit late I think that will be fine.

That would be great! If you would just gently remind her we are shipping at the end of the month and the check in time has passed. I've tried messaging and emailing but I haven't had any luck.

Excellent. Remember guys to title your message "ready to ship" if you want approval, otherwise I am going to be thinking it is just a check in. Make sure you have done all last minute touch ups and sealed your little ones before asking for approval to ship. I'd like to get a complete view of the custom for approval so if I could get one forwards and one backwards that would be great.
As always never wrap customs in newspaper because the print can bleed off onto the custom. Make sure that the pony is completely dry before packing him or her up. And don't forget to include a card or note with your name. This is especially important because the customs may be too small for signatures or to see the signatures clearly.
Another reminder, hang on to your shipping receipt for a while. These packages might be small and heaven forbid one might get lost we want to make sure you still get credit for sending it. I'm happy to hold on to tracking information but if you aren't getting it that's fine just hang on to that receipt till they reach their new home. :)

My guy is pretty much done just needs some sealer. I'll get shots of it tomorrow for you and then probably ship it friday or next week

My little one's about 85-90% done. Just one more layer of touch-ups and sealant!
Sarahlacewing, I do have a check-in photo from a couple days ago sitting in my camera. Do you still want that, or at this point since it's so close to done, should I wait and just send a final photo (2-3 days from now)?

I would say go ahead and just send me the finished product photo. I appreciate you trying to stay true to the check in, but if you are only a few days away might as well just wait and send me the approval picture. :) I know everyone has been mad busy with the move.

how is picture posting handled? will we post the critter we made after our partner gets it? or will we post a picture of teh critter we recieved from our partner? Should we make a new thread or just post them here?

Usually the person will notify you that they have received your custom and then you make a new thread here on the customs forum. Please link us here on the board to that custom in case people aren't checking often. When you receive your custom you can opt to make a brag thread but you don't have to. Please let me know though so I can check you off when you receive your custom.

I don't know if I should say this here? But mine was posted either Friday or Monday, while I was out of the country. I only got back today, so didn't want to risk running over shipping date.
