After a ton of work by the fantasticly generous Mr. Cherry (aka Mattman), we are up and running again!  I don't know about you all, but it was a loooooong wait!  I am so ridiculously happy to have our new server and even more happy to have all my pony friends back!  To show you all how much I missed you, I would like to host an art contest!!!  Draw a picture to show everyone how much you missed the Arena!

Okay, I have one complaint: The image insert button now makes the image appear in the editor, which is annoying.

Hooray!  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  I will wait for more people to make their way over before I set a deadline, but probably by the end of February  :)  That way everyone has time to see the contest and to draw something up!

You mean when you click "modify" and the images show up in the box instead of just the text?  I actually love that feature  :blush:  It will make it way easier to find the image you're looking for if there are multiple ones.  :)  Just another new thing that will take some getting used to.  :hug:

ah zelda, if you TYPE "[i mg]http://... ...[/i mg]" (without spaces) instead of clicking the "insert image" button, it doesn't appear in the editor. at least for me that works. :) however, i kinda like the new function too!

Hmm, I keep noticing everyone commenting on the "new" pony smilies... did the Arena remove them at some point, because they aren't new to me?   I remember when they came out originally.   I was away for a while, because of the loading issues (and waning interest), so I wouldn't know if they disappeared at all.

You can submit your art at any time until the contest closes... and the deadline is still undecided because we have quite a few people missing still  :)

(and I miss the sidebar too, but the speed and total lack of DBEs is totally worth it lol)

Any picture that you feel illustrates how much you missed the Arena!  :D  The rest is up to artistic interpretation as long as it's forum appropriate!  :accomplished:

Now that almost everyone has found their way over, I've decided to end the contest on February 29th (yay for leap years).  That gives everyone a little over a month to come up with something!  I'll be photographing the prize ponies soon  :)

It TOTALLY counts!  Even if I had a bajillion entries, I would have loved yours  :)  I took pics of the available prize ponies today, just have to find my card reader so I can upload them.  Then I'll PM you both.
