G1 Satin 'n Lace questions
« on: April 28, 2012, 02:41:33 PM »
Was she ever available in stores or is she strictly a mail order?
What is up with her coming in different colors, magenta, lavender, pink/light lavender?
Did all version come with fadeable pink hair?

Pretty sure she was strictly mail-order, though she was avalable in multiple mail orders over different years.  She came out in lavender, magenta and so soft version.  I think you could designate which one you wanted on the order form but it was mostly luck, with lavender being the easiest to obtain and magenta being the most difficult.

All 3 have fading pink hair.  :)

Yes, she was only ever available as a MO order but she was offered with regularity.

You couldnt pick which one you got as different ones were available at different times...it follows the same pattern as the store bought line Lavender then So Soft then Magenta...hence the "common-ness" of the first one offered and the "hard to find" element of the Magenta. There was of course some overlap due to the nature of her being available pretty much all the time on mail order - so even if you ordered from one of the brochures which were in the middle of the line, you may have got old stock and a Lavender Satin.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
