I'm very excited for the mini blind bag ponies. Now where on earth will I be able to buy these since Target doesn't stock them...
They might for the Anniversary. They brought back SSC for their anniversary after stopping them for a while.

Congratulations MLP you've kept on truckin longer then most of your peers at Hasbro. With the exception of GI Joe.
Aren't they still doing Mr Potato Head and Transformers?

For me it's G3. I don't think I had any MLPs as a kid, I was into the original LPS. Hasbro LPS came out about the same time as G3 so I started collecting the occasional pony because they were adjacent to LPS and I had started to collect those.

I don't get the sorceress thing either... Why does she have to be a vampire AND a witch? If they wanted a witch char why not bring Casta back, or again just make a new character? She feels more like a Bratzillaz character honestly. (Lol, didn't a lot of the Bratzillaz have two-coloured hair with the colours split down the middle, too?)
The idea of a witch being a type of monster is kinda offensive to people who practice witchcraft irl. (Which is actually really trendy these days) At least they are treating it as a human thing here.

The movie was okay, but I couldn't sit through the whole Make Your Mark special. It's just so uninspired and bland. Same goes for the toyline. G4 was a decline for MLP, but G5 is just straight up Happy Meal level nonsense.
The movie being number 1 on Netflix will turn out to be just a flash in the pan IMO.
I dunno but I think the Petite Pony/Polly Pocket style playsets seem to be decent quality. Then again that's typical of modern day Hasbro. The smaller things are the better quality and details they have.

Monster High’s live-action movie is a freaky, fang-tastic musical - Polygon https://www.polygon.com/23189621/monster-high-live-action-musical-trailer
Well then.
"My name's Frankie, projouns: they/them" What. Frankie is very obviously female, they didn't even try making her look androgynous? So why?
This looks like it had no real money put into. The special effects look like it came out in 2015. This movie is several years too late and tries too hard to do "current teen trend" such as the introduction with pronouns stuff. Frankie's pronouns don't even exist in several languages so I am curious how this is gonna get translated.
Mattel is doing a Barbie movie with a Hollywood star directed by an Oscar Winner and for MH we just get... this. It's Jem all over again, isn't it.
The actor who is portraying Frankie is trans so that might be why.

Honestly I have one and I'm not too concerned about it. Hidden stains don't bother me.

http://www.shesfantastic.com/2013/04/anthropomorpism-at-its-finest-vogue-cats.htmlThere's also dog versions floating around. The site mentioned that the review was an April Fool's joke but I only think that it's because they weren't typical content for this site. This site tends to focus on female super heroes and these are definitely not that. I do think they were an actual product and the fact that you remember them confirms it.

I know there's the official ones using the G1 Petite molds but have any artists out there made their own that actually look like G2 style?

Maybe they will release a set of the CP ponies with glitter. Kinda like how they did with the 40th anniversary SSC doll.

I have some things I painted with a paint that gets indents if it leans against anything despite properly sealing it. They aren't tacky feeling, it's just like somehow the paint isn't hard. Is there any way to fix it because I need to pack them up and I don't want them to end up with a weird flat side from being laid down or a dent from being on top of something.

Oh no wonder I couldn't find them on MLP Merch. They were listed with the main series despite being not much bigger than blind bag size.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CcBHojXKbkO/I saw these on Instagram and I'm curious if anyone knows where they came from. As far as I've seen so far, the only G5 blind bag style figures released are in the old Pony Life molds and while I got some of those, I'd really like some G5s that actually look like G5.

They have been rebranded as part of the Real Littles line. There's barely a mention of Shopkins on the packaging now but they still look like Shopkins. Huh, I knew they turned into Real Littles but I didn't realize they were still making the ones that look like Shopkins - I haven't seen those in a while, the only Real Littles around here are the little shoe sets and backpack things that don't have any actual characters in them (from what I can tell). I think they're cute but a bit overpriced for what they are.
Lalaloopsy just quietly hopped back onto the shelves... are they advertising it in the US at all? Here there's no ads for it or anything. It's weird how it just came back out of nowhere. It vanished quietly and then suddenly they were back again.
Hatchimals, yeah, I'm surprised they're still going. They're cute enough, but they seemed like the very definition of a "fad toy" from what I've seen of them; they really did seem to be riding on the 'hatching' gimmick, feels like that'd get old quickly. (Sorta like the Kitty Surprise toys, where they're super cute but a lot of the fun in them was the initial deboxing and seeing how many kittens you got/what they looked like. At least, it was for me.)
https://shopkins.fandom.com/wiki/Season_FifteenI don't know if they been advertising them but I did know about Lalaloopsy coming back because people came across listings while searching for other MGA lines. Honestly Hatchimals is the least surprising for me. Like I knew the big ones weren't going to last and the Colleggtibles had staying power.
