Twisted Fairy Tale Swap: A Tale of Two Maleficents Pic Heavy

My partner for the Twisted Fairy Tale Swap was dashesndots.  She listed Sleeping Beauty as one of her options and also expressed interest in having a custom with sculpted wings.  I had never made sculpted wings before but really wanted to try and so I decided to do a take on the new Disney Maleficent movie and make a custom of Maleficent with wings and Maleficent after her wings had been cut off.  In this custom I did a repose (adding a shy head to a reading G3 body), extensive sculpting, repaint and rehair.  I also made a staff to support Maleficent rearing and a base to support Maleficent's giant wings.   I tried to pack it very carefully, but it was broken en route to Dashesndots .  I hope that it was not broken too bad and that it can be repaired and displayed.  I had so much fun making it and I hope Dashesndots really enjoys it

I am so impressed with the wings on this girl - they are amazing!  I love how organic they are and how much movement they have.  You did a beautiful job on both of them and on the base  

(PS to those wondering, I posted in the other thread, too, but basically all I had to do was glue some feathers back on, you can hardly tell there was breakage )

Yeah, like everyone else has said lol: those wings are gorgeous! I can't believe you've never done wings before. I love how you've shaped the feathers, you created a lot of movement! I'm so sad to hear they didn't quite survive shipping. I haven't seen the movie yet either, but I've seen enough pictures to get the idea here, and it's really cool that you did both versions of her, but kept them to one piece rather than individually, by adding the base and positioning them like you did. I love the split scenery too, you did an awesome job on these.
