Wow uh... Pipp's eye color changing from brown to green hurts me on a deeply personal level. And of course the only brown eyed character is the token boy. Who decided brown eyes = boy and blue eyes= girl anyway?!

Oh boy... when I was a very small child and didn't have my own ponies, I gave my older sister's Baby Cotton Candy a nasty haircut. According to my very small child logic, if I ruin my siblings' toys, they won't want them anymore and I'll get to keep them. 30 years later, I am the only one in my family who collects toys so she did eventually end up with me  I was a pretty destructive/"artistic" child, but I actually took pretty good care of my ponies once I got my own. IIRC the worst I did was giving Baby Ruby a forelock like some of the other baby ponies had because I thought it was cute.

The Friendly/Eager mold is my favorite, I find the odd lopsidedness really endearing. If I had to pick one of the two, I guess I prefer Friendly's color design.
I adore the bushwoolies! ;_; I really wish I could collect them, but I've never found ebay's asking prices very agreeable, especially with international shipping...

Big Top & Toppy! They're a little plain and I usually go for the unicorns, but the circus theme makes them my favorites by default.

Hi, everyone! I'm Ridi. I'm from Norway, but live in Japan currently. I'm 31, and just started out as a grad school student, majoring in global environmental studies.
I grew up with G1 My Little Pony, and they were on and off my favorite thing as a kid. Cartoons have been my main interest since way back then, and I loved the G1 show, but the only way I had of watching it was in the form of hard to obtain VHS tapes... as a result, I ended up watching the same episodes over and over again. My favorite was The End of Flutter Valley, which was presented as a movie on the VHS I got.
My favorite pony is Morning Glory for this reason, and I focus my small adult collection on the ponies that appeared in the same episodes. I was born a few years too late to be able to buy flutter ponies when they were in stores (the ponies that were available by the time I reached the target age were mostly the Europe exclusives. I picked out Baby Candy and Baby Ruby), so I would make wings out of plastic bags and tape them to my ponies. :B I also really wanted Spike, but the Dream Castle was but a pipe dream. Being so fond of the cartoon, I was really bummed I missed out on the ponies that starred in it, but thankfully I have three older siblings who passed their TV-featured ponies on to me. My favorite was Baby Moondancer. I'm really happy to be able to buy all the ponies I never got to have as a kid!
I tend to have a really short attention span when it comes to forums, but for what it's worth I'm really happy to be a part of a pony community! I don't have any pictures of my collection at the moment as it's back in Norway, but I'll be sure to photograph it next time I'm there.
