Title: BRATZ NFT (virtual item on Blockchain) collectibles lauch
Post by: Tiara546 on December 01, 2020, 02:21:48 PM
Hello all,

as being part of the WAX community, I stumbled upon an NFT launch taking place tomorrow - in around 19 hours.
The first launch targeting women which I encountered in that space so far! It is for Bratz dolls NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens), and while I am not a fan of Bratz at all, I figured some of you would like to know. https://bratzcollectiblez.io/
From what I know, they are planning to use those NFTS in a mobile game, so in addition to just being collectibles, they will end up having a function, too.
All you need is to open a WAX wallet with an email address and you're ready to go. https://all-access.wax.io

What makes it interesting to collect NFTs for me is the ability to trade and sell them on easily. Being on the blockchain, the items cannot be copied or altered. Think of it as a virtual sticker collection which represents an investment, too - especially at this early stage.

Oh, so like, virtual trading cards? These look neat! I'm not huge on Bratz, but I do love trading cards.

Well, yes, they can probably be called that. Some series are meant as card games like Magic The Gathering was a non-digital variant of it.
My personal favourites are KOGs (Keys to Other Games) https://www.kogs.gg/ also planned for mobile games.
as well as the Atari series, out of nostalgia https://atarinft.io/
But also Tribalbooks just for their artwork. https://tribalbooks.io/

Some news I just found:

The sale is not going live today.  It is schedule for next week.  Someone messed up and did not lock the site.  So it allowed the preauth (on credit card) to happen.  That will just reverse.  The official announcement of the date and everything is coming.  The leak of this just caused people to try to buy something that is not yet available

Zerging an old post but just saw this and oh my God no nfts are so freaking bad.

It takes the electrical output equivalent a small home generates in a year to make ONE nft. This is not environmentally friendly and you literally don't get anything for it but saying you bought a  digital item

I... am so lost right now. I feel like I must have fallen asleep for twenty years or something... What are NFTs?

How is that even possible?
