I got the popcorn bucket and cup when I went to see IT a few weeks ago (at a Cinemark), so I didn't buy another combo last night when I saw the movie (also a Cinemark). I asked about the figures though, and they had no idea what I was talking about.

I've done a few legendary raids, but I have crap luck and haven't caught one yet. I hope they make it so that there are other ways to run into legendaries. I'm still not a huge fan of the new raid system, since I work from 9 until 4 during the week. That seems to be when most raids are going on.

I finally got a Porygon today! It hatched from a 10K egg, and I was sure it would be another Skarmory or something I already have.

I also bit the bullet and bought a Pokemon Go Plus. It's pretty neat, and since I still play the game daily, it was worth it. I went to an amusement park over the weekend, let the game run in the background on my phone and the Go Plus tracked enough of my distance that I was able to hatch 10 eggs in the 8 hours that I was at the park!

I think Gen 3 is on the horizon! They found files for 135 new species during a recent data mine! I'm excited because a few of my friends said they'll get back into the game once Gen 3 is released, so I'll finally have other people to play with aside from my husband.

Splatoon 2. Gearing up for the first Splatfest this weekend- GO TEAM KETCHUP!!!

Although I love mayo too. It was a tough choice.

I'm going between that game and ARMS. I'm trying to get better at it. It's a lot more fun than I expected, and I'm very hard to please when it comes to fighting games.

I did an Articuno raid with 8 other people on Sunday. We got very close to beating it. But timed out right before anyone could get the last hit in.

But I did manage to make it to level 30!

Perfect timing, huh? Those extra incubators came in handy during this event.

 

I've honestly been having such a wonderful time at my new job, and I'm getting used to being happy again. I had one rough day this week, the day after the 1 year anniversary of my little brother's death, but at the end of the day I was crying because I realized I was finally in a good spot in my life. Part of that has been taking a break from some social media and the internet in general, which is why I haven't posted.

Giving myself points each day is something I think I'll do every day from now on. It really helps.

I'm still not enjoying the "50 coins per day, but only if your Pokemon gets kicked out the gym" system. Right now that's still my biggest complaint. Oh, that and constantly getting 2k eggs. I don't need anything from 2k eggs anymore, ugh! It's such a waste of time to walk with them when you know that literally nothing that hatches from them will be something you need. It'd be nice if we could throw eggs away.

I've been having fun with the raid battles, especially since it's the only way I can get on track to getting a Feraligatr. My husband and I will go out of our way if we see a Croconaw raid nearby.

So I still don't totally get how the event is working this upcoming Saturday (since I guess even if you aren't at the festival in Chicago, you can still participate somehow), but I suppose I'll figure it out before then with the help of Reddit.

I feel horrible that I haven't posted in so long, but I've been keeping track of my days and I wrote down points for myself each day. When I get home from work, I'll type it up and post it here.

Ugh, I'm so bad.

I'm back from my second convention............ and the first time entering a cosplay contest! Before the contest I had so many kids asking to have their picture taken with me, that made the whole day worth it! I even had the 501st members asking to have their picture taken with me! But when the cosplay contest was over and they were called the winners, and I heard "ARC Commander Eli" for Best Sci-Fi, I was in shock! Me? Winning a division in a cosplay contest?! What?!

When people want to take picture of or with you, that's truly an awesome feeling!

Congrats! I'm too chicken to enter any cosplay contests. I feel like literally everyone else that cosplays at conventions does a better job than I do.
