:sunny: Happy August, everypony!!

In recognition of the solar eclipse coming our way August 21st (check spoiler for best US viewing locations!) I have selected a couple ponies to highlight our glorious celestial world!

First up, year 2 unicorn Sunbeam! An underrated and overlooked classic beauty! Her soft dimensions and palette are balanced by the radiant sun on her flank.

Pearly Baby Moondreamer! How will you convey that sheen in your artwork? I'm excited to see the results!!

I love all the participation I've seen in the past few months! To make it a little more interesting this time, I am offering a prize for the best artwork submitted! The prize will be... a ponyqueen pony print of my choosing! Details forthcoming, but in the meantime...

I skipped the last one cause I didn't know how I would color Baby Starflower, but I'm definitely doing this one cause I love Sunbeam.  I don't know how to portray Moondancer's pearlized look, though.

Luxrayx- Very cool style! Very pony-elvish. Well balanced from the highlights to the undertones.

Gator- Very nice ponies! I like their interaction. Love the hair. You're right, I think the pearlescent sheen might be a challenge. But our artists are creative!

I think you can still imbed from the image source from DA... let me test it...

Yep! Right click on source image. Select 'copy image address'. Go to post, type [ img ] then paste link then type [ /img ] ...but leave out those spaces.

That should do it.

Everyone's art looks amazing so far!
Here's my contribution, with Sunbeam painting the evening/morning sky with her magic, much to the wonder of Baby Moondreamer as they gallop across the clouds! :heart:

Luxrayx- Baby Moondreamer looks pearly to me! I love seeing the stars reflected in her eyes.

Crystal-Sushi- What a sweet scene you've created! Gorgeous colors- and the frost over Baby Moondreamer's eye really reads as an over-all pearly pony. Nice!

Thankyou ponyqueen! Moondreamer's body is meant to be shaded differently as well to infer that she's pearly, but it's a bit difficult to see in the finished piece  ^^;

Safflower- So cute! I see some G4 influence in their expressions. Baby Moondreamer is simply adorable, and I :heart: Sunbeam's loving smile.

Congratulations Gator! Everyone did a fantastic job. And I totally forgot to explain mine. For some reason, I imagine Sunbeam gave Baby Moondancer her ribbon because it's the same color as Sunbeams body, and that's what my pictures based off of, lol :)
