Hmmm, in general, stores like amiami.com , hlj.com and Rakuten (the store called Toy-Santa in particular stock a LOT of gashapon and capsule prizes, things like this and ship via regular airmail/SAL which is super cheap). The first two have a lot of pre-order stock, though, so mind the release dates (and the amount! You don't want to get import charges!)

Only thing to note though is that they generally sell blind boxed toys and gashapons as a full set rather than single boxes/bags.

Tofucute.com is basically kawaii incarnate, too (and UK-based!)

Amazon.co.jp is a pretty good resource with decent prices and shipping prices.  They don't ship everything overseas, but I always find it good to check there in case they do.

Here we have Daiso which is like a Japanese dollar store. Check if there are any in your area because they have lots of cute things by way of stationary and such.

Do you have any asian grocery stores near you? That's a good place for Japanese sweets, snacks, and etc. Some even have re-ments, blind bags, etc. ^^ You should definitely try to find some ramune soda for her surprise box!

I think tofucute will be a good place to get stuff, since it's uk based.

Also, I really like http://www.strapya-world.com they have squishies, charms, and all sorts of cute stuff.

I second http://www.strapya-world.com !!! I've used them a few times with no troubles!! Keep in mind some Japanese stores wont let people from overseas buy items so you have to go through an agent (most use http://www.tenso.com/en ). On their website they have a list of stores you can use them to buy thigns for you: http://www.tenso.com/en/shopping/index.html

Blippo Kawaii Shoppe (http://www.blippo.com/) is a site that has a ton of super cute items like plushies and phone straps. Right now they're having a sale too. Kawaii Box is a subscription box that is offered by them too, and has some neat stuff as well.

I like Tokyo Otaku Mode too :) They have some really cute stuff - I'm trying to convince myself I don't need a huge fennec fox plush right now. (Also you get $5 for signing up, and another $5 credit if you signed up with a referral link - I can share mine if needed!)

I buy a lot of Japanese stuff, and I sometimes get stuff from the Yahoo.jp auctions. Most of the sellers don't ship internationally but you can use a proxy like Rinkya or Noppin to act as a middle-operator for a fee (I speak Japanese, but Noppin's site also translates the auction titles, although some of them come up very odd). It depends if you have something in mind.

I also buy from CD Japan, but that's because I'm a seiyuu fangirl fiend xD. They also operate in English.

If you're anywhere near London, there is also the Japan Centre, JapanBooks, Tokyo Toys and a few other stores in the city which sell Japanese stuff. Japan Centre and JapanBooks are at Piccadilly, and the other is just down the road at Trocadero. It has a big sign outside with Naruto on, and that might save on shipping..?

Japan Centre do online ordering as well, and they sell Japanese food/sweets as well as other pieces.

With Amazon.jp, most of the time they now ship with Global Post, which doesn't incur stupid fees, but beware of Fedex. Import duty can kill because they slap it on AFTER you get the item with a little letter in the mail...

I have fallen foul of this before >.>.
