Pony Corral / Re: Common Ponies HTF in Good Condition?
« on: February 19, 2012, 05:29:35 PM »

Starshine for sure--just sold a gorgeous one that I was startled to find in a lot I bought.  Starshine and Majesty are prone to "brown head syndrome," though Starshine also turns brown all over.  She's also the only Year 2 Rainbow that seems prone to symbol rust.

Confetti seems nearly impossible to find bright white without bleeding symbols.

Mint Lemon Drops are indeed are to find!  I finally found a nearly mint one.

Sunbeam is quite common but especially prone to glitter loss.  She always comes up in lots with barely-there symbols.

Pony Corral / Re: I have hundreds of Ponies to sell...How do I DO this????

I've sold many ponies here over the years and quite a few on eBay.  I'd start with the G1s b/c you have more profit potential there.  The advice given above about photographing them in groups according to year (if you plan to sell all 150 at once) is good.  You'll probably do better if you include a short description of flaws, etc., for each.

If you don't know which G3s are worth anything, I'd make a list of what you've got and ask for help.  The ones that are hard sells you could just try to sell in groups or give away if all else fails.

Best of luck!

Oh!  Sorry, I misread and thought you had the playsets.  Okay, that said, I'd sell everything piece by piece except maybe the Pony Wear--that just sounds like a headache.  I think you shouldn't have too much trouble selling off the Estate pieces.  If you get impatient like me you can always just throw everything that is left into one lot and put a price tag on it!  Best of luck with your sales!

You should take some pics!  Then you could get people to weigh in on what is HTF and what's not.

Dream Castle - I'd say the goblets are the only items one may have a little trouble finding.  Spike is pretty highly sought after.  The other items you could probably sell successfully piece by piece but only for $1-2 each.  The throne in particular just seems to be all over the place.

Paradise Estate - Again, you could probably sell these items off individually but not for much money.  The small kitchen items, particularly the silverware, are harder to find.  In the case of PE, I'd probably give selling the accessories off individually a go before putting everything back with the Estate.

One idea is that you could put all the accessories up for sale here, let that carry on for a week or more, then put what is left back with the playsets and post those for sale.

I think it depends on what it is.  If the accessories are fairly desirable (for G1, princess items, some baby things), then you should sell them separately.  If, however, you are talking about really common G1 accessories, like Pretty Parlor saddles or Show Stables troughs, then I would just keep them with the playsets.  I'd say playsets are more desirable with at least some accessories than none at all.

You also have to think about time.  It can take forever to move a bunch of generally non-sought-after accessories, and you won't make much.  So think of that too.

Best of luck with your sales!

How interesting!  If you have anything else interesting from the Hasbro outlet, please let us see!

Glacia, I would have guessed that was the same hair color that Skyflier (Year 3) had, but do you think not?  If so, that would fit.

Wanted! / One fuzzy pink slipper for Sweet Dreams outfit! Just one!
« on: February 05, 2012, 10:42:22 AM »

Such a small want--not worth anyone's time economically but perhaps will bring some good karma!  I just need one pink slipper for the Sweet Dreams outfit (G1 Year 2-3).  I'm willing to pay $0.50 + an additional $0.50 for shipping in a regular envelope (only US traders please).

If you'd like to trade, I have a few limited options:
- one flutter wing (no tab)
- Pretty Parlor:  basket (bright pink), strap, saddle
- Pony Royal crown
- Bonnet that goes to Cuddles' Baby Buggy

I will need the slipper mailed tomorrow (Monday Feb 6) if at all possible b/c I need it by Thursday.

Thanks so much!

Vale :)
