umm... ok... so I caved and bought this little girl...

I dunno... she was just *looking* at me... and I couldn't resist - she was too cute and I have a mega soft spot for Bowtie!

I bought her for $5US + shipping to get to the other side of the world (so all up I've paid $18US for her).

What do you think? I think she'll clean up ok? Would it be criminal to straighten that hair when she gets here? Maybe it will just brush out fine after a wash?

This is my first Mexican pony so I'm rather nervous/excited about her

Actually, I just noticed too, her eye colour is different to the one kellyponyfeathers bought (and that of mylittlewiki)? The ones on my one look blue - just fading over time do you think?

I recently won a fairly nice one for only $15. She just arrived; haven't cleaned her up yet, but she looks like she's turn out very well.

$8-20, maybe higher if she's in excellent condition. You can usually find Mexican ponies pretty cheap on eBay, but they generally need a lot of cleaning & often have marks that can't be removed.

I would say about $15-20 as well. It does vary depending on condition though. As kkv says they are often quite cheap, but need some cleaning to make them nice again

I think you got a good deal : ) I would shampoo/conditioner her hair then use a flat iron at the lowest setting and make sure the hair is wet. Good luck with her

I love mexicans...the longer hair looks adorable. I haven' t bought anything in at least six years but it looks like they have dropped in price. Almost half of what they were going for before i think. I could be wrong though. She will clean up very nicely : )
