Should I file a claim?

I recently bought a b-day gift for my brother, but the site I shopped on went offline shortly after that and the emails just silenced. The provider of these items were in good touch with me during the order, but now.. It's gone.
It's been like 7 days. Help?  :cry:

If you paid by paypal, you have 45 days to get a refund so maybe you could give them one more week? Maybe they got some trouble and are still sending orders out? Depends on the situation but I think you can wait a little more :)

After some research it seems this site is a troublesome one.. I'm just too tired of it all.  :cry:
The thing is, they haven't even emailed their customers about technical difficulties.. Now my brother's gonna be sad..

If you have a bad feeling already, I would definitely open a claim.
 
I am sorry your brother is going to be sad.  Perhaps you could tell him no worries, you are going to make it up to him  no matter what.  Is there another site or store that you could try and buy it from?

Are you positive that they are indeed having technical difficulties? Because if it's a website with fraudulent sales activity, it's possible that the site was taken down by their IP on purpose.

I'm sorry to hear about your brothers gift  :sad:    Normally I would say to keep an eye on the 45 day deadline and then file a claim a bit nearer that to give the item a chance to arrive..... but since you mentioned that the site is troublesome and you are worried, then I would say to file a claim now .  hopefully you will be able to buy the item for your brother from somewhere else.   If the item does actually arrive then you can always close the claim ;)

Today I received an email. They told me the site broke down so to assure me and my order was safe they emailed pictures of received items. I feel a lot more calm now.
