There's a new series coming out called In the Name of the Mermaid Princess that looks interesting.  I saw a couple of pages of it on Facebook and it looks like it's a mermaid in the water/human on land story with the twist that the merpeople family rules a kingdom of humans and have to kept their true aquatic nature secret.

I picked up Fly Me to the Moon 21, Kubo Won't Let me Be Invisible 11 and Blue Period 1 one recently.


The creator of Dragonball Akira Toriyama died earlier this month.

Bought an artbook yesterday, Fruits Basket Complete Anime Natsuki Takaya Illustrations Still haven't watched the new anime (someday!!) but I couldn't resist this, it looks so pretty from what I've seen so far! Looking forward to sitting down and giving this a proper look-through

I literally just read the latest chapter of Yona. Oh boy.

And yet there's still so many big questions.

I just wish it was a bit bigger, it's pretty much the same size as an average manga volume. Still looks great though

I have a Saiyuuki one somewhere. It has my absolute favourite picture from the series in it. I love it because it reflects a really key plot moment, but also because it's coloured, and HAKKAI's EYES ARE CORRECT - one green and one gold. A tiny tiny plot-significant detail that, despite how well done it was, the Zeroin anime failed to observe.

I saw it on the shelf at the bookstore next to the Fruits Basket mangas..  I didn't pick it up yet, but I'm going to give it a closer look next time I'm at the bookstore.

@Ponyfan - well, if you want to know, I will tell you, but I feel like it will be better/easier on you if you ask when things are more complete and not still a bit...in the air. Since the last chapter answered some questions but asked a couple more.

This writer is really good at twists and making all kinds of things work. So...I would wait a while and watch this space.

Let's just say that something that has bothered me since way way back has been explained...but even though it seems one way, I'm still not 100% that it is.

I am waiting for season 2 of Apothecary Diaries to end in order to buy the novels (not quite manga but related). I am assuming each cour is a novel based on the synopses I've seen online.

I still need to finish Moriarty. Vol 11 is sitting on my bed. I know what happens in this arc. It's after this volume that I don't know. I think vol 19 is the last one so it seems like I have a full set...I should just get on and read it xD.

I wish more manga series got artbooks! I'd give my left arm for a Tokyo Mew Mew artbook, sadly I don't know if it'd happen now since the creator died a few years ago And I so wish the Sailor Moon artbooks would be released in English (or just re-released at all LOL because I don't want to think about how much they likely go for on the second-hand market these days xD), I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

I picked the Fruits Basket anime artbook. I haven't had a chance to look at it properly, but I love what I've seen so far. 

Ima Koi, Now I'm in Love has reached its final volume at 9.  I haven't read that series yet, but I thought it would last a little longer.

Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible also published its final volume, 12.


I finally got Horimiya 11 from Amazon and picked up 12 at the bookstore.  I don't know why, but for some reason none of the stores in my area stocked 11.  I think there are 16 books in the series, plus the art book making a total of 17.

Not asking for confirmation if this is one of things that's been revealed, but one thing I've always wanted to know about Yona is

How Iksu managed to escape execution and get out of the temple alive when Yuhon was eliminating all the priests.    I've wondered for a long time if Zeno had something to with that.

Also why Hak is powerful as the Dragons in terms of endurance and strength even though doesn't carry dragon blood.

I'm on volume 8 of Delicious in Dungeon! I've been loving the series so far!!

Luckily I own up to volume 13. Super excited but I hope I don't read them too fast!!!! I need them to last til 14 comes out in English in the Summer.

I was going to buy the rest of the volumes of Horimiya I needed today, but the bookstore only had one copy of each and both of them were damaged.
I bought the last 2 volumes though and will have to keep checking back for other copies.


I've gotten several new manga books recently.

Spy x Family makes me so emotional. I usually dislike kids but Anya is so sweet, I wouldn't mind one like her in the future.
I want to get into manga, but I can't get over the prices. I need to pick up Bungo Stray Dogs Beast at some point, or try to find it online.
