Bubble gum pink hair Princess Serena variant

Hi there




*** Thanks to Shelti for confirming she is the variant.  She is for sale and if anyone interested just let me know.  I'd like $25 or $30 if you want her hat! *** HOLD!!


I've been taking a look at a Princess Serena/Aquamarine I have who I just thought had good, unfaded pink hair but I'm starting to wonder if she's the German/Euro variant?


I looked up the old Princess Spotlight and saw the comparison pics and read the info but I'm still unsure. Esp as she does have Pat Pend (though I read that is still possible).  I just wondered if there is another G1 pony I can compare her hair colour against to tell one way or the other? Or shall I just post a piccy here?


If she is the variant, is she worth more than standard release?

I have comparison shots on the site also between the bubble gum and lilac pinks but it's really hard to tell at times unless you have a comparison pony

If she is the variant, she's probably worth a bit more than the US release, but not massive amounts.

Looking at Shelti's fab website I think she is the variant.   Her forelock throws me a bit as it looks paler pink but I think it is because there are only a couple of plugs.  When I pulled the forelock up by the rest of her hair it seemed to match...

She does look like bubble gum non fading pink to me.
I would say she is a variant, I know some of these snuck by on ebay UK and Germany recently
for pretty cheap.  But I would value her at around $20 - $25 USD. 
My French Carded Girl is the non fading bubble gum pink also and I believe she has a pat pend on the foot bottom as well. 
If you are looking to sell, it will just take the right buyer
so you might have to hang in there to sell but I have no doubt she will find the right home at some point,
Princess Variants are not everyone's cup of tea
and half the fun is the hunt.
The Lilac haired non fading is harder to find so that version would probably go for a little more:-)

I have one of these bubble gum variants too; I got her from a collector in Norway not long ago.  She's the pat. pend. version, and the wierd thing I noticed was that the tiny jewels on her symbol  (the ones beside the main big pink heart part) are green on one side and purple on the other.
