Title: Army of Blind Bag custom dragons (2 now on eBay)

[Edit: Scoria and my red/black/white BB dragon are now up on eBay.]

A while back I posted my red/white/black custom Blind-Bag pony dragon (http://s941.photobucket.com/albums/ad253/ElectricLamb/Custom%20MLP/Blind%20Bag%20Customs/?action=view&current=_MG_8383.jpg), and somebody got me stuck on the idea of a swarm of them...I'm still stuck on that idea and it's been loads of fun making these little guys.  Here's the next two, Rime & Scoria:

These have been a great break from the pressure of moving to a new house, and trying to stay afloat in a down market.  My promise to myself this year is to always have at least one of these on my desk to inspire me, and space on my desk to make at least one new one.  ;)

Thanks for letting me share, and thanks for sharing your customs too.  It's great to browse here when I'm feeling creatively drained and need a 'whats new in the customs forum?' pick-me-up.  :)

I am really digging these, so well done and adorable especially on such a small scale. Do you take comissions or is it a for your sanity thing? Lol everyone was talking about blind bag boys, might prove an interesting challenge to customize if they aren't rarer than gold. ;)

Those are so awesome! I can't imagine being able to sculpt something that tiny so perfectly!


Edit: It's not often that my husband likes ponies, but I showed him these and he said "DO WANT!" LOL

Omg I LOVE the first one! So manage to convey so much expression there, absolutely gorgeous. And fantastic painting on the second one, the bright parts actually look like they were glowing.

Those are so freakin' cool!  The little red one (Scoria?) reminds me of this custom, Out of the Ashes, that queenoftheunifrogs did.  The custom would love a little fiery friend, so if you decide to sell please do let me know. :)

Incredible detailled work. I rather say: mindblowing! Maybe I can afford one of these little fellows later this year if they are for sale. But for now my commission-coins are safed for you-know-who. :silly:

I am seriously Obsessed with ponyville/blind bag size... Like the rest of these peeps have said, if you do open commissions i would like to be considered for an opening. <3

Sarahlacewing: My wife showed me pictures of those boy BB ponies, and i'd love to get my clay-covered hands on them for some more masculine customs.  I feel the need to represent my Y-chromosome-bearing brethren once in a while, and those would be perfect.  ;)

Cookhuman: The "Out of the Ashes" custom is awesome!  That's exactly the kind of paint job I was going for on little Scoria.  And, it seems that you're a fellow STL-area native too -- it's a neat coincidence that two such similarly-themed customs reside only a stones-throw away from each other, given that this board has members spanning the globe.  Scoria will actually be for sale very soon; it and my unnamed red/black/white BB custom have already been photographed and written up for eBay auctions, and will be posted in the next few days.  I need to let them go to make room on my desk for more little BB customs to get made.

As for all the questions about commissions: I'm flattered that so many of you are that interested in my work, and I do accept commissions, but I've already got a few lined up that I need to finish so I'm trying not to take on too many orders at once.  However, these little BB customs have been a nice quick aside from my normal work, so if things go well for me financially over the next couple of weeks, and I don't have to go back to a regular desk job, I may decide to start taking on some BB commissions alongside my larger ones.
