Barely saved our outdoor Halloween decorations!

Yesterday mom and I took down our indoor and outdoor decorations. Weather channel forecasted a bit of snow for last night and we didn't think it'd be more than a dusting. No big deal. Well, the snow didn't start till this morning and....it's a nasty snow storm. Five inches of snow have fallen and snow is still falling thickly and splattering our window and door screens. The storm made us lose power once but we got our power back. Lamps occasionally wink as though we'll lose power again. We're not ready for heavy snow! I'm glad my mom and I removed the decorations yesterday instead of putting it off till today.

It's cold here right now too (we rarely ever get snow at all). I've missed it though and I'm glad it's back...... For now. Glad you got your decorations in before the storm though. Maybe you can think about having fun building a snowman after the storm and that will make it seem not so bad?

The snow is too fluffy to build anything when the storm is over (yeah, it's still storming!) I can't remember the last time I built something out of snow.

We've had lots of wind and rain the past two days, but today is the worst.  I think the rain has finally stopped but we got bursts of just light snow and sometimes rain and snow mix.  It's really cold out.  I feel like we jumped into early winter.

We had snow in Northern WI a few days ago. I'm hoping it will hold off for a few weeks here. Last winter it was beyond frigid here with temps hitting -60 with the wind chill.  I hope that your power stays on Beachball!

We had light snow in Michigan on Halloween.  It was crazy!  I don't ever remember having snow this early but they did predict that it's going to be another nasty winter so I guess it's getting an early start.  It didn't get above 35 here today.

I'm jealous! We had our first freeze a few nights ago. But snow...? Five inches of snow is, I believe, more than we've seen in a few years. =(
