bra sizes (have you ever bought online?)
« on: March 07, 2012, 02:47:39 PM »
I'm having trouble finding my size in stores. Not sure why, I don't think my bust is extreme or unusual in any way. Or is it?
Do you have the same size or near same? I'd like to try and find out how uncommon it is.

I'm a 70H (european size)

I tried to convert it, according to the 85b.org chart
it converts to:

32F (US size)
32G (UK size)
10F (AU size)

I'm not sure though. I found an other chart that converted it slightly different. But this should give you an idea.

I have only found this size in two stores in my country.. none of them are near where I live either. One of them has a web shop, so I have resorted to buying from there. Fortunately it works well, I can change or return items, and because the items are lightweight the return postage isn't so bad.
Still, I would like to have more to choose from. Have you ever bought a bra online (where?) and how did it turn out?

http://www.breasttalk.co.uk/size_charts.aspx I think this should help a little more.... Though it is somewhat confusing since I've personally never had to convert my cup size to another country's size.

Yes, that is the other site I was thinking of. It converts cup sizes differently.
Charts being inconclusive is another reason I hesitate to buy online...

I have bought bras online several times!!

The trick is, I found a bra style and brand that I like, and then I went to the company website and ordered the bras I wanted in my size!

It's quite funny to see the look on everyone's faces when I open up that box!

I've bought bras online from several different companies (I'm ... busty), and the best so far is Bravissimo.  Dunno if they ship to Europe, though.

I know that in the UK, You would almost never find a G cup in the shops, you'd have to order from a specialist shop. Generally, it's rare to find anything above a D cup in shops.

I've bought them online before, but since I have a pretty standard size it's never been too difficult. I find that companies will often use slightly different measurements (e.g. For one company I can wear a b cup, the other I need a c.). Honestly, I would email the company and ask if they have Australian sizing - my guess is that they do and it would be tailored to their bras and would help you find one that fits comfortably.

that size is reaaally hard to find in the us. most companies dont make down to  a 32, and even their 34s are limited.  im only a 34dd and i can rarely find a bra and it is usually waay to expensive.

Just note that when purchasing online each company uses slightly different materials, so some you may have to get a slightly larger or smaller size depending on the elasticity and cut of the pattern.  buy one that is your size and make sure you can return it or exchange it until you get the right size you need for that company. It may take some time but it will be worth it.... unless it's from china... they tend to have free shipping and if you return it it will cost more than what you paid for it.

this may help in trying to find a bra that fits you when the company makes them differently from each other.  they have other awesomes in their other posts.

hope that can be helpful.

This is the exact problem I'm having.

I look around leisurely, store person comes up to me, "Can I help you?"
Me: Naah I'm not sure, I don't think you have anything in my size...
Them: But you don't seem so big..? Here, why don't you try this on? (hands me a D)
I try it on and my boobs bulge up above the cups making me look like I have four breasts! :lookround:

People who wear D or smaller don't realize how lucky they are lol!

This is so true (except I'm an A cup) - it's so hard to find 32 at all, and to find it in an A in near impossible. :( I get that the majority of sales will be the popular sizes, but that doesn't mean us less common ones don't need something too. And something that looks half decent!

I had the same problem before I had a breast reduction.  I went in to a shop to get fitted properly, then ordered a bra out of one of their catalogues.  When it fit, I ordered several more, but they were expensive and only came in white.

I totally feel your pain.

So you are close to the size I am.  :)
I am usually 70H (US 32F), but can have 75G (US 34DDD) on some bras.

Don't you just hate how bras are always much more expensive in difficult sizes.  >_<
People who wear common sizes can get a bra for a fraction of what I pay!

Weird... that would be a very common size around here! Every store has it.
If the conversion chart I'm using is accurate that is. It tells me 32A is 70B in european size - very common size around here.

sure! :3 hope it can help!  I personally think companies are lazy and dont wanna spend the extra time and money making other sizes even though it will boost sales and ladies here in the us have an extremely limited range of sizes and they feel they have to fit into one, so they force it and look sad and feel yucky.  I am all for gals having a better time finding the bra they need! ^___^  just wish they were cheaper.
O!  http://braonsale.com/  is another cheaper site, but they come from china and are usually made of extremly stretchy material, so i'd have to go with a 32 which they dont have many of. but for others it may be helpful, or if you can find one that fits right... just be willing to have a pile of nonfitting bras or pay a pooload to get them back to china.  (> n <)
