Black spots! Halp!

Has anybody seen spots like this on a pony before?  It's not pindot/smooze - the spots are larger and definitely not clogged pores, they almost look like ink spots.  The pony has been stored in a box with others for a few years and none of the others have this.  I got her from the thrift store probably about 5-7 years ago and iirc she may have had a few of the black dots at the time but they seem to have mulitiplied, though I may be misremembering.  She is otherwise clean and in excellent condition (though her head is firmly glued on and I haven't looked inside, there's no signs of tail rust or anything else gross going on in there).

Any ideas how to fix this?  Soap, Simple Green, and acetone have all done absolutely nothing.

Have these spots developed since you've owned the pony? I've seen something like this before on a Galaxy and on a Posey too. I think it may be machine oil that got into the pony when it was being manufactured. I don't think it's possible to remove them I have a few ponies with factiry defects I don't mind them. Otherwise she looks great.
