I don't normally like plastic dollhouses, but this one has a very nice look to it - even nicer now that you've spruced it up a bit. Can't wait to see the finished result!

I hear ya! I'm not a doll person myself, but this thing is cool and we've been having a blast painting it and deciding what goes where. It has a couple of broken parts my boyfriend will take home and fix up. I feel for her though, she's constantly going back and fixing my mistakes and the window sills and trim are proving to be a real pain, paint doesn't want to stick for some reason.

As for the paint stick problem, have you tried priming it with something like gesso first? That usually helps the paint stick better and you won't need to do as many coats.

That is looking awesome, actually with plastic items like this the best thing to do is spray with something like testors dull coat then paint.  Also it is a good idea to wash it all first with Dawn or another degreaser.  So if you have any areas really being a paint, I would try washing them to make sure you are removing any oils that maybe  on it from it past owners hands and then the spray.  You can also use very fine sand paper to give the area just a little "tooth" so it will take the paint better.  Keep up the great work and I shall have to stop back and look for the finished project.  It is going to be super.
