So...was it a good deal? (Fashion Style Fluttershy buy)

I was in fear of the price inflation like the Fashion Style Applejack...so I brought Fashion Style Fluttershy off of Amazon.

Price was around 32 dollars...shipping totaled my cost to 39 dollars

Overall: Mint-in-Box Fashion Style Fluttershy for 39 dollars.

A good buy? Right-on-time buy? ETC?

I have NEVER seen fluttershy in stores - only Applejack.

I'm only seeing one on ebay in box that's $33 without shipping so looks like you make a good buy. Or at least, didn't overpay.

I hardly check stores so I can't tell you what those prices are like.

I got mine in stores in 2011. I got half my FS mane 6 ponies at walmart, the other half from Hasbrotoyshop.
I wish I bought 2 AJ's back then!

I just bought Rarity today...I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake either! I got mine at walmart, though...she was the ony one amongst a bunch of Pukie Pies, and one Luna (who I strategically hid) )

I don't know - I didn't think she was that HTF.  I've seen her in stores plenty of times.

I have been after her for a while but have not once seen her in a store..not in Alaska and not in New York..nore in any of the walmarts I stopped in en route from Alaska back to NY

I haven't seen her around in ages, but I was able to buy her at Target in 2011 so I haven't been looking. I wish I had grabbed Twilight when she was still in stock. She's the last of the mane six I need and she's totally disappeared from stores.

I don't know if Fluttershy will receive a rerelease, but that sounds like an okay price given that she's becoming harder to find.

I was seeing her in stores up until over a year ago. I think she's quite hard to find now.

I got quite a few of her at Ross for $5.99 not to long ago. They're all sitting in my bait box.

Hasbro ships in waves, once they move on from a wave a pony will become harder to find and so if she is popular the price will go up.  If she not re-released in another wave, the price goes up more. 

In this case, they have moved on from the bore sorry core 6 into some other ponies for the FS so she has become hard to find at this moment in time.  IF they then go back to releasing the core ones she will then go down.

To me if you are happy with the buy and really wanted the pony and have no plan on selling your collection in the next 10 to 15 years you are good price wise.  I have recently brought two things (none pony) that other folks can still find in stores, I paid a little more then current retail in my area for them for two reasons one I can not find em in my area and two at $4 a gallon for gas it was not worth my gas or time to keep hunting.

I'm happy with the buy. It was only double the price rather than five times (hint: applejack). I noticed she was limited in online stock and I wanted one, so grabbed her before the inflation.
