Ace breakdancing comic?
« on: November 22, 2013, 04:34:39 PM »
Which issue was this story in? Someone mentioned it on a forum once. Also, which issue contains the Ace variant with a playing card symbol?

Hmmm...in 210 there is a bit where all 3 boys dance and then a separate part of Ace doing some dance moves which could be called break dancing. But Ace is notorious for random things like that in the comics so its possible its a different one you are thinking of. Do you know what the story is about?

As for the playing card version thats the &Friends comic #38.

Apparently, the person who mentioned the breakdancing comic says it was for a hospital charity fund.
Now I want And Friends 38 so very badly.

The comic itself was for a hospital charity fund? Or the story took place in a hospital...oddly I think the dancing does occur in a hospital I think they were visiting someone stuck in a ward.Thats when the 3 boys did their dance routine.

That comic sounds amazing! Could you scan it in, as I've never seen 210 on ebay before, in the 11 months of collecting I've done.

Unfortunately not...I just dont have the time at the moment.

I have been collecting MLP comics for more years than I care to count - as have lots of other people - and as yet have not finished my collection. Unfortunately it takes time and sometimes some numbers dont come up for month after month. I am sure you will track it down eventually :)

hathorcat is right, sometimes it takes YEARS of watching Ebay to finally see something for sale!  ;)  Best of luck in your hunt.  Have you looked locally for these - is that possible?

I went to a jumble sale yesterday with nothing in sight :(.

I am currently in the UK with my family (one reason is searching for the Seven Characters and the comics) but nothing found yet. HOWEVER, on Friday I got six new comics, 102, 154, 163, 173, 190, and 211 from the mail!

You are right about this, I've searching through buyer feedback on ebay and I saw a mint condition copy of 210 was sold for 7.00 last year in September.

I've been consistently working on my comic collection for 12 years now and it still isn't complete. It is tricky tracking them all down at reasonable prices. I should sort my doubles though!

The job of collecting all 224 comics (plus all 51 And Friends ones) seems like it could take some times, possibly decades.

Which ones are you missing? I'm MISSING...
1-57, 59-83, 86-101, 103-104, 106- 153, 156-162, 164-172, 174, 176-181, 183-189, 191-195, 197-204, 208, 210, 213-214, 216-220, 222-224.

And I haven't got any And Friends yet.

Really? I'm impressed with your collection.
By the way, which comic is the one with the introduction of the Sweet Talking Ponies in? Chatterbox is in the 'Old and New Little Pony Alphabet' in my copy of 196.
And, what does 202 look like?

I have one really late Tales issue, 221, and the only boy in it is Ace, where he is orange instead of green. The paper was different as well, being rough and cheaply made.

Otherwise, congrats on your huge collection!
