Wanted! / Re: Rapunzel wanted

Hi, are you still looking? I’m selling one on Etsy for approx. $850. She does not come with any of her accessories, but she is in near mint condition.

Wow, you found that in English?! Thank you! I feel a bit sheepish now. It's just that most Finnish websites, when translated into English, don't make much sense. There are a few that have English options (as in actually written in English vs. translated), but I assumed the website for Posti would be like most of the others. I guess it makes sense that they would have a site in English since it's run by the government (as far as I know) and delivers mail worldwide. I should have known.

Thanks again.  ^.^

Thank you, Ringlets!

I moved to Finland last summer and I plan to sell off a large portion of my pony collection, but I don't really speak Finnish, and I have no idea how much shipping costs. I realize all sorts of things will affect the postage price, such as weight, location, bubble mailer vs. box, etc. Is there anyone else who lives in Finland who can help me out?

Thanks in advance! :)

Am loving these reviews! I didn't even know she existed until I saw this post. I have the Firefly book and figurine and just resigned myself to the fact that she was a tiny mutant G1. I'm actually in the beginning stages of selling off most of my collection, but Glory has always been one of my favourite ponies, and to quasi-quote Pumbaa, "She's just a little pony!"  :P

I have her mainly because I love her symbol (I love music and celestial things, so a piano and a crescent moon are a great combo in my book!), but not a fan of her pose or colours. I also don't like how she is prone to turning a dull grey/green that looks a bit swampy.

I often use these combs that came with G1 ponies sine they're sturdy, easy to hold, and cover a wider area than many others:

But for shine and easy detangling, I've found nothing better than this type of Goody Ouchless brush:

I first started re-collecting ponies as an adult when I was living in Scotland, so I was instantly enamoured when I found out about this tartan-clad Scottish Terrier pony. I found him on eBay with all his accessories and totally overpaid just because I was so excited to add him to my collection. He will always be a favourite of mine.  ^.^

What a sweet friend.

Edit: I must still be suffering from jet lag! I didn't even notice you included Starswirl in your brag post. Didn't see the part about Marigold, either. What a sweetie!! Sounds like you had an awesome birthday. Thanks for including me in your post. Forgive me for not bragging about the beautiful Baby Lucky Leaf you sent for my birthday. I've been terrible about remembering to do that.  -_-

Pony Corral / Re: Gift Ponies You Will Always Keep

A friend found a G3 Bow-Tie for me at a car boot sale, which I would have kept anyway because of the sentiment, but it also happened to be an accidental upgrade to one I had with some pink marker spots. There are some that have come in swaps, of course, but I don't necessarily view those the same way unless there is a special meaning attached or if it was a private trade/swap. I have received some totally amazing and unexpected ponies in RAOPKs as well, mainly from two of my best arena friends, Marigold and Shenanigans. I feel spoiled beyond belief to know these two amazing girls. And lastly, I have the cutest ever G1 baby custom that was gifted to me by one of the most talented customizers I know. I shall keep her name anonymous, but if she reads this I hope she knows I mean her.

So, yes, these ponies will be with me always.  ^.^

I have been a member for three years now and am only just past 2500. I am also not as active now as I used to be, so it will probably take me at least that long to reach 10,000 posts. Well done!

To be honest, I can't remember if I have either of them or not. If I do, they came in a lot. They are okay but I'm not a huge fan of newborn ponies unless they have super cute symbols and/or colour combos. These twins are just a tad too pastel for my liking.

Pony Corral / Re: So Soft ponies

I love rubbing so soft's feet! like right on the bottom, seems to be the fuzziest spot.

Oh my gosh!! I completely forgot that as a kid I used to rub my fingertips in a circular fashion right on the bottoms of their feet, in the little groove. It was very therapeutic somehow, like squeezing one of those stress balls or petting a cat/dog.

Which brings me to the next point.

Or like that spot on top of a kitten's nose where the hair changes direction. ^.^ I don't have any flocked toys to compare with either.

I just rubbed that spot on my cat's nose tonight, as I do every night, and it DOES. I think I am going to get out my minty SS Lofty tomorrow and stroke her flocked feet.  ^.^

Things are expanding rapidly here in the Arabian desert, and not just because of the heat. ^^;

Thank you again for this box of amazingness. Two packs down, six to go.  :dance2:
