What condition do you look for in the ponies you collect?

Mint or NM condition, totally original ponies.
Ponies that display well, hidden marks acceptable, but all original.
Anything that looks good, including replicas and rehairs etc.
Mistreated ponies, so I can pamper them in my spa!

I like to buy MIB or loose ponies. I actually love loose ponies !!! I try to buy them out of the package. As long as they arnt chewed up, missing paint,  are free of haircuts,  I will take it! If i have no choice but to buy MIB, I take it out and brush her hair! xD I love loose pons mostly because they are easy to move, take up less space, and look amazing in a collection in a display case together! I dont cut my ponies hair, but I will curl and braid them. When I come home from work, it really is soothing and releives stress to brush long pony hair, another reason I like them loose :)

With my US and UK ponies I'm generally fussy I adore NM ponies so perfect pink hair, straight tinsel no rubs to flocking, uncut hair and no symbol rubs etc ideally with original accessories combs, brushes ribbon sticker if applicable etc.  having said that for VHTF ponies and my Italians I'm more lenient to flaws but the pony must display nicely and I also enjoy fixing up ponies and making them beautiful again especially if I get the pony for great price it's very rewarding.  Even as a kid I took such care of my ponies some of my childhood ponies are amongst my mintiest lol so no wonder I still like them to look good!

Bad hair is my pet peeve. I don't want haircuts (even minor trims) or rehairs (nor any irreversible restoration, for that matter). In some cases I'm willing to fix up and restyle dry, frizzy hair, but I adore factory curl. "Fading pink" has to be pink. Also, I hate discoloration and head/body mismatches. On the other hand, I don't usually mind minor marks be they visible or not or paint wear, so I guess "ponies that display well" is closest to what I think.

I voted for ponies who displays well, but if it is a nirvana pony, I'm more tolerant with flaws or even a rehair.   :)

A minor mark, a missing plug or a mini symbol scratch is ok. I don't care so much for faded hair either.

I very much have problems if they aren't boxed well, if they look rough in the box odds are they'll look worse out of it. I actually have a big problem with my Sweetie Belle as her head is loose, plus all my CMCs manes are messy thanks to improper taping of there manes.

Yikes! Your poor Sweetie Belle! That would drive me nuts.

I am one of the more picky ones. :) Glad to see there's some others here too. I wish I could always buy MIB, so I could de-box and be the first person to own the Pony out of box, but since I'm not made of money, that would never work for G1s.

So I kind of take it on a Pony-By-Pony basis. I will accept some marks (if I can get them off!) or if they're something like a tiny paint chip. I even have a Posey with an odd crease in her side, the poor thing. (I'm going to say it's a battle scar.) It depends largely on how badly I want the Pony/how nice they are otherwise/etc. I really don't like to purchase Ponies that require anything more than gentle surface cleaning. Some hair frizz is acceptable too, especially since several of my childhood Ponies have it. But I prefer for there not to be frizz, if possible.

I like my ponies to display nicely - if they have permanent marks or a hair cut, as long as it can be hidden, I don't mind. Some hair cuts just give 'squee' appeal -

I like imperfect ponies that I can fix up ^^ I don't really mind many of the flaws, I just do want them to have some hair left :P but I don't mind a trim.

I especially love buying TLC ponies as the yare cheaper and are the only way I can get some of the more expensive ponies :)

I'm not that picky, but I try to go for ponies that aren't super baity. Usually if it looks like all they need is a good clean I'll take them.

But if they're grimy and baity and being sold for a silly price then I'll pass.

I'd be more inclined to take in a baity G1/G2 though than  G3/G4.

I'm not picky at all. The only thing I usually will pass on are missing body parts. If I have to restore, so be it.

I look for minty ponies always!  But if in my search I come across a pony in bad shape, I have a tendency to fall in love anyway.   :P

Mostly I will rescue any pony who needs it, if they're properly priced. I have all kinds of condition ponies in my herd, I dont mind mostly how bad they are. No missing limbs yet though! (just bitten ears and holes in hooves)
