I have a ton of G3 and G3.5 Baits for trade. I'd prefer to trade within the USA.

G3:
-Rainbow Dash IV Variant (with pearls around neck)
-Triple Treat II
-Royal Bouquet
-Rhapsody Ribbons

G3.5:
-Scootaloo with name on side (2009 single with activity book)
-Toola Roola Single
-Mcdonalds Pinkie Pie
-Mcdonalds Sweetie Belle x2

Please PM for photos and conditions. They all have tangled hair and some of them have been marked with thriftstore flowers

Looking for G1 bait ponies that are free of cancer and mismatching heads. Ponies can be missing tails, hair, have symbol rubs, be dirty, etc. I'd really like a Moondancer, Posey, or Twilight (or anything off my list on my profile, really), but I would definitely consider other G1s.

thank you all so much! I really appreciate it. I'm glad I did a good job .  ^.^

Thank you so much for your advice! I briefly tried a magic eraser, but I'm not sure how helpful it was... should I try dish soap next? I will also try soaking her feet in hot water!

As for the hair, thank you for your tips. I will definitely wash her that way... I'm just super paranoid of getting water inside after seeing the amount of rust in my first restore so I wanted to make sure.

Do you have any tips for a symbol that's bled onto the plastic of the pony? I think her bonnet has bled a little bit. I can get a closeup of it if you'd like.

Pony Corral / Restored TE Speedy

I took a crack at my first ever restoration over this weekend, and she turned out great! I was cleaning my room this week and I found her on my bookshelf. I'd bought her like two years ago to fix, but forgot about her.

TE Speedy had serious tail rust, a dirty body, and messy hair. I separated her head from her body and soaked the body in oxyclean. Since I heard oxyclean removes the coating on twinkle eyes, I only poured the oxyclean inside of her head. I scrubbed all of the gross rust out.

Then I washed and conditioned her hair until it was soft again. I went out and got a replacement washer (plastic!) and put the tail back in the pony once it had dried. I'm very happy with the results, and I think I will be more receptive to buying more fair quality ponies now. The only issue is her white and yellow hair is still a bit tangly.. I'm not sure if it's something about the color, or what. Maybe I'll go back and try to restyle it to get that curl in it.

Before and After photos are under this spoiler:

I really don't like the way G4 ponies only have one or two poses. The reason why I like G1 as much as I do is their poses give hints about their personalities. A ton of ponies just... well... standing straight up in the exact same way doesn't say as much. I also don't like how hard it is for me to get fillies and colts for customizing. I mean it's cool that I can swap heads with bodies (creating alicorns, different eye shapes, etc), but I think I prefer more creative posing in the long run.

I also feel the same way a few do about G4 Pinkie Pie -- she went from a close favorite (3rd place!) to the total bottom. It makes me really sad because her character was so great. So does the fact that most of the merchandise is Pinkie or the princesses. I'd like more Fluttershy and Rarity. I know for a while even finding a basic rarity brushable was nearly impossible. They were going for like $15-20 each.

I think my biggest eBay pet peeve is seeing G3s and G4s in the pre-1990 part of the my little pony tag. I specifically go in there so I can look at the G1s or G2s without getting distracted by the other results.

Oh my word. Those bows are so beautiful! You really did a great job bringing her to life as a G3.

Hmm... you know, I probably wouldn't unless it was a more common name like Tiffany or Ruby.

I think if you made  the bottom of the swimsuit red, and the top of the suit and ruffles white with red polka dots, it would look pretty nice.

If you like her and want to hold on to her or put her in your collection, I would rehair her however you think it would look best. What you could always do is rehair it in white, but add in a pink streak, similar to what this customizer did to their Posey.
Spoiler
Personally, I think either making a blend of a light pink and white for the mane or adding a pink streak to a white mane will bring out the pink symbols on the pony's side a bit better.

I like the way G1 ponies have those tails that slightly curl at the end! Especially since mine have slightly frizzy tails, it makes a poof at the bottom <3 It's sooooo cute

Pony Corral / Restoring a Brush N Grow? + Question about Oxyclean

Hey guys, I got a Bouquet Brush N Grow a while back that's dirty (shes dingy and sometimes a bit sticky to the touch), and her hair is a bit matted. The mechanism still works -- her head turns from side to side to wind her tail up, and her tail can be pulled back out after shortening.

I would like to make her bright white again and tend to her hair. However, I'm not quite sure how to approach it. I'm in the process of doing my first restore (Rusty, dirty, tangly haired TE Speedy), but with that, I can remove her head and clean the inside, and I don't have to worry too much about mold. For Bouquet, I'm scared I'll get water inside of her when I wash her hair, and I'm not sure if I should wash her tail fully extended and leave it out for a few days, or what I can do about it so water does not get inside.

I was wondering how you guys recommend going about restoring her, whitening her body, and washing her hair without getting water inside and damaging the mechanism or her symbols.

I really appreciate it, guys. uvu I just want to make sure both of them get the best care I can give them.

bump~
Bouquet's feet are also off balance a bit. I wonder if I can just soak the legs (watching the plug hole carefully) in hot water and reposition.
