Restoring Goldilocks (pic heavy)
« on: December 10, 2016, 08:03:22 PM »
So I just got my first G1 pony today...

Yeah.
But I expected this, and the restoring part is my FAVORITE THING.
So I scrubbed her down and all the marks and white paint came off, except for one, and even acetone won't take it off.

This is after cleaning her up. She already looks a lot better! You can't really see the marks and grub that were on her in the first picture, but she was played with regularly, I'm sure.

HER HAIR IS SO BIG AND BEAUTIFUL NOW.
I wanted it to look super poof and 80s princessy, and I think I achieved that!

After her, I think I need all the SHS.....
Thanks for reading!

Her poofy hair is gorgeous!! What is this pony's name, I don't think that I've ever seen it before.

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw that her name is goldilocks
-_-

Wow she looks amazing - you did a fantastic job!  :lovey:
Thank you so much for sharing your photos - and I love the curlers that you used to style her hair!

They're actually bits of these huge straws we had lying around the house! They're super nifty for making those huge curls!

A really excellent idea too - I am SO going to give those a try!
I have seen these jumbo straws on sale in the UK in the 99p stores - now I know what to do with them!

Goldilocks is a really pretty pony and yours looks amazing now. Congrats on saving her hair. It's so pretty but can so often get horribly tangled and messy. We have some snacks in this country called Wotsits and I have to confess my sister's Goldilocks still has hair that resembles those more than ringlets...

Yours gives me hope that maybe, when it comes out of storage, Naynie's pony's hair is rescuable ;)
