Title: What Hogwarts House are you?

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and thought it'd be fun to see what everyone's house's were!

I'm a Hufflepuff. When I first got sorted into Hufflepuff (and realized it was totally accurate) I was pretty mortified. But, I've come to totally embrace my intter geek. Hufflepuffs' are loyal, brave, kind, funny, and empathetic. Cedric Diggory was a Hufflepuff and he was the most talented AND cutest boy in school :P Hufflepuff pride! Something kind of funny that I've noticed is that when I go to Universal Studios Hollywood (I live 5 minutes from it and have a pass), all the Hufflepuffs totally notice each other from across large spaces and even though we are strangers we always smile at each other, give thumbs up, or will just highfive each other without needing to say anything when we walk by. The other houses don't do that. Puff pride! We are proud to be the "dorks" of the houses. Our house is located right next to the kitchen, come hang out, we've got the best snacks. ;) Something kind of funny is when people first meet me, they'll guess I'm a Slytherin. I've been told I have an intense look, and tend to wear black. I admit I'd look good in green, but my "spooky" exterior is just a mask!

At first I was surprised when I got Hufflepuff, but it does make sense. I made my boyfriend take the quiz too and he got Hufflepuff as well. I had guessed Ravenclaw for him since he's very intellectual but he's not driven by the thirst for knowledge. We're both very loyal and empathic people so it really does fit to be in Hufflepuff.

It's pretty cool that Hufflepuffs recognise each other at Universal Studios. Dorks gotta stick together lol ^.^

Back when the books first came out I think everyone wanted to be Griffinidor/aka Harrys house, lol but I like how now almost all the other houses are more popular than griffindor. :p

I had kind of wanted to be in Gryffindor, but Ravenclaw actually is pretty much me in most situations so it's as accurate as it gets. :P And Ravenclaw is cool. My patronus was a squirrel. -_-

Scarfs, robes and shirts etc are either all houses or Gryffindor and Slytherine. I've yet to come across a Ravenclaw scarf of good quality unless I mailorder from abroad which usually is too expensive to me.

I have friends who were totally uninterested, and after I made them read the first chapter, they were hooked! They are really really great books. The films are "meh" in comparison.

I was sorted into Slytherin. Oh lord. :lookround: Being the Potter n00b that I am, my first thought was "Nooooooo, that can't be!!! I'm a goody two-shoes who hates all things evil!" :cry:
But then I read the welcome message, and I started to see the resemblance... People walk around me because of my "dark reputation" (think long leather coat, spiked choker and a gaze that scares little kids), and I can't say it bothers me. :mrgreen:
Also the looking after you own part is spot on. I may be anti-social, but if you are one of "my people", you can count on me. And I mean COUNT.
Maybe it's not so bad to be a part of Slytherin. It just takes some adjusting. :cool:

My patronus is a Siberian cat, which couldn't be more perfect. :D And what a GORGEOUS animation. :heart:

If you liked the first movie, you will LOVE the books. Imagine all the little interesting tidbits that made that universe interesting and multiply it by a thousand. There is so much juicy, hilarious, fascinating stuff in the books that you miss on screen!

My Patronus is a black swan and my wand is 10", Alder wood with a phoenix feather core and surprisingly swishy.

My bf is relieved. :lol: He was like "There's no way you are Slytherin!". He took the sorting quiz and ended up in Ravenclaw. He's driving me nuts, though. He keeps trying to argue that the Hufflepuff crest should have a Twinkie or some cotton candy on it. :argh: He's only kidding, but it gets old. :P

Is anyone besides us getting the 20th anniversary house themed editions of Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone that are releasing in June? We just pre-ordered our Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff editions on Amazon.ca .

Then when they redid the site, I took the test again and I got Gryffindor o_O But I really don't feel like one.. so I ticked Hufflepuff. :)

My Ravenclaw mother-in-law and her Hufflepuff husband just got back from vacation at Universal last week and she insisted my husband and i try the quiz on Pottermore.
So on Pottermore I was sorted into Gryffindor. My patronus is a Tonkinese Cat. My wand is acacia wood with dragon heartstring core, bendy 12 3/4". And because I was ammused by the story, my Ilvermirny house seems to be Tunderbird.

Honestly I've always been torn between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw and have leaned more towards Ravenclaw, but I do find some of the attributes Hermione had in her early years very similar to my own at that age. I was a complete know-it-all, top of the class, and outspoken about anything that didnt seem fair.

My husband was sorted into Ravenclaw, hasn't checked his patronus yet though. And his wand is an applewood with unicorn, ridged 14 1/4".

I've always really liked being a Hufflepuff and I think it fits me to a T. When the Pottermore quiz got re-done and I had to re-take it I was super worried I wouldn't get Hufflepuff so it was a huge relief when I did lol. Honestly even if I got a different result I think I'd still keep calling myself a Hufflepuff because I feel super strongly about it.

My patronus is a White Mare which is super perfect because my horse is a white mare and I love the thought of her being my patronus.

Interestingly, a lot of my friends are Slytherins, but this seems to be a pretty common dynamic. I think Puffs and Slytherins are often drawn towards each other for whatever reason.

I'm glad that you think so! I was totally amazed when it happened! I think I literally screamed with excitement when the little horse popped up on my screen and I saw that it was specifically a white mare! It was especially neat because I thought of riding my horse in a horse show and winning our class when the quiz prompted me to think of my happiest memory.

I think I literally screamed with excitement when the little horse popped up on my screen and I saw that it was specifically a white mare! That is seriously so insane. You should like, write Pottermore or something and tell them that story! It's so amazing!

It weirdly fits me when I think about it. One of my cats (my favorite/first one) is very Tonkinese in temperament. And felines are my favorite in general for anything. But I agree its very weird that there are even specific breeds of cat as results of that quiz. Does it happen with dogs? Has anyone gotten a dog as a patronus?

ill trade you for trout >: O id love to be a trout. i got a Hare, which i think is kind of the worst animal possible for me.

I found this quiz online that takes ALL of the patronus questions and puts them into one quiz, since,yknow, most peoples personalities are based on more than 5 questions. this time i got a bloodhound, which i dont think is totally accurate, but a lot closer than Hare. i got a dolphin the first time i took this one quiz particularly, and i think thats really close.

Do you not want to be Slytherin because they are the "bad guys" in the films? There are definitely some crummy people in Slytherin, but they aren't all bad! My fiance is a total Slytherin because she is such a determined over achiever, very ambitious, and works her butt off to get what she wants. :) If you read Cursed Child, which takes place years after the Harry Potter series, you'll see one of the sweetest people ever is in Slytherin!

The quiz said my patronous was a Horse, but it's not. It is most definitely a Labrador retriever or a guinea pig. ;)

While learning more and more about the world of Potter, I think it might be safe to say that I would fit best in Hufflepuff. Why? Because basically I am a goody two-shoes, I'm very big on manners, I am modest, loyal and I like sticking to the rules. Plus I have no real ambition other than staying as happy as I am now. ^.^

EDIT: A little off-topic maybe, but I just have to say it; That scene in The Goblet of Fire where Harry returns to the Triwizard Cup with Cedric's body is easily one of the most powerful scenes in the entire series to me. I would almost go as far as calling Daniel Radcliffe a lousy actor (please don't shoot me), but the way he delivered this scene was MAGNIFICENT.

Omg agreed! That scene is so emotional for me, but mainly because of Cedric's poor sweet father :'( And I also have to agree about Daniel Radcliffe.... I ADORE him, but I think he's a pretty terrible actor! haha
