I love shiny jirachi! Though that one doesn't seem legit.

I'm sure it isn't. I'm sure most of my wonder trade shinys aren't. I don't mind though.

BTW I'm willing to trade my shiny Hitmonlee for another shiny.

And after trading for my shiny boy Pikachu named Pikachu...... I hatched a shiny boy Pichu 10 or so eggs later...... Go figure..... So now I have 2 shiny boy Pikachus!!!!

Isn't that just typical xD but still a pretty neat thing to happen, congrats!

Im currently working on my dex to get the shiny charm one day... I have 521, 200 more to go *faints* Im lucky though, my husband is playing too and helps me collecting!


One question : is there anything I need to know to breed shinies? I Mean do I have to do something special or is it always the same chance?

You have a better chance of getting a shiny IIRC if you breed two pokemon from different regions.
Such as a Japanese Ditto and a US region Pikachu, for example.

No, if you're playing a US game you need a Japanese ditto and a Spanish Pikachu. Neither of the Pokemon you're breeding can be the same language as the game you're playing.

You only need one different region pokemon and than yours. No need to look for two completely different regions.

Yeah, I was gonna say that I'm pretty sure just one Pokémon has to be from a different region, and it's usually Ditto. I just wasn't 100% sure of that.

Yeah that is why I mentioned a Japanese Ditto, since that is what many people use for the shiny method that doesnt have a JPN-language game (and plus Ditto itself is basically the default breeding Pokemon, lol).

But basically, as long as one of the Pokemon is from a different region than the other, your shiny chances via breeding get increased.

They both have to be different from each other, not your region.

Japan Ditto and NA Pikachu works.
Japan Ditto and Spanish Pikachu works.
Japan Ditto and Japan Pikachu don't work.

 

So, I ultimately decided I was going to restart my Black 2 game, and was going through my boxes to organize what I wanted to keep...........and I have 11(!!!) Victinis! What the heck? Half are from Liberty Gardens and half are the event one, why do I have so many?

If I had Pokemon Bank I would transfer them to Gen 6 and share. I don't need this many. I'm apparently a Pokemon hoarder....

Edit: I also have a bunch of shinies I wouldn't want either (shinies only mean something to me if I find them myself); I don't know how legit they are, but they are 'legit enough' to be traded over the GTS. Feebas, Dratini, Koffing, NidoranF, Ho-oh, etc...maybe I do need to invest in PokeBank.

Yeah you just need 1 different language from your own game. It even tells you that on bulba/serebii. You also can tell from the breeder from what he says too.

I got a shiny Dewgong via Wondertrade. Pretty sure she's hacked: rareball, all stats are good, all ribbons, level 100... too bad shiny Dewgong is almost undistinguishable from regular Dewgong

Also, I've decided to replay pokemon Soul Silver. So far my team is: Bayleef, Togepi, Mareep, Dunsparce, Hoothoot and Wooper. Onto the second badge, my braves!

Finally, here's a question: does a Spanish pokemon have a tag? (like, a Japanese pokemon has "JPN", a UK/US one "ING", etc.) I would love to see one!
