Are the remakes on the Vita or console?  Doesn't matter, either are fine.  I might try them, since if they've toned down the time management aspect I know I would enjoy the stories.  That's what I liked about the Iris series (plus the character interactions, lol!), and to a more limited extent the Ar Tonelico series, which did have time management but to a lesser extent.  I have the first few Ys games on PSP!  I enjoyed them but it has been aaaages since I played. 

A friend of mine suggested Mass Effect, which is a bit different from what I normally play but outer space so who cares.  I'm just biding my time til Ratchet & Clank comes out, lol!

I never would have considered Mass Effect myself once upon a time, but I played it not that long ago now and loved it for the story and the characters.  If you can get past the FPS part (which I accomplished by playing it on casual), it's so much fun!

Splatoon is so fun! I haven't played it in a few months now, but I really should pop it into the Wii U soon. I've been addicted to Mario Maker, though.

I also realized a few days ago that I didn't 100% complete my file in Katamari Forever on the PS3. So that's back to taking over my life. I love that game so much!

Since I lost my bf's copy of Harvest Moon, I've discovered a new game to fill its void: Stardew Valley!  Sooooooooooo addicting!  I have to remind myself not to waste this entire break on it

Stardew Valley is so awesome and I'm totally addicted to it too! I play it every night before bed to wind down. 

I've seen a lot of good things about Yokai Watch and Fire Emblem. I'm not huge on dungeon crawler style games, so anyone who plays it, please convince me it is worth buying!

Yokai Watch is a monster collection game in a similar vein to Pokemon, if memory serves me.

As for Fire Emblem, it's a turn-based strategy game that uses a grid system where you move your characters around and attack. It works off maps, not dungeons.

I've seen a lot of good things about Yokai Watch and Fire Emblem. I'm not huge on dungeon crawler style games, so anyone who plays it, please convince me it is worth buying! 

I have Yokai Watch, and I thought it was a fun game! It's not quite like Pokemon, since the battle style is different (in YW, you have a team of six on hand, but three of them are out at one time during battle and you can rotate between team members. So you do have to pay attention to your yokai as a team and not just "rely on one teammate at a time"). However, getting yokai to join you, excluding when you use the Coins,  is more RNG(Random Number Generator)-luck based than Pokemon is.
It's not a dungeon crawler (save for maybe the final post-game area - it has at least seven floors), but there are a few areas/buildings where you travel between floors to get to the end (usually no more than three floors at most altogether). And there are a TON of side quests in the game, so you can easily take a break from Story Mode and do as many side-quests as you can/want.
Plus, Jibanyan (the series mascot) is adorable as heck. xD I find a lot of the Yokai in the game to be neat, design-wise.

I'd say despite the flaws the game has (they apparently improve them in the second game), I do feel Yokai Watch is worth checking out, especially considering how popular the series/franchise is in Japan.

I'm still slogging through Silent Hill 3. I play for like an hour at a time then take a break for a week or more.  I don't have the stamina for gaming I used to.

Back to playing Mass Effect 2. I gotta beat this game so I can play 3! I've also, strangely, been playing Pokemon Heart Gold. I guess I caught the Pokemon fever!

I am still playing my three Fire Emblem Fates files. But those will be going on hold for a bit because within the next hour I should finally have my copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby. I'm thinking that I'll choose Mudkip. I've never beaten a Pokemon game despite owning many of them, and my brother has bet me $5 that Ruby will be no different. I'm going to prove him wrong.
