Pony Corral / Re: How many did you have

I'm going to go in and guess around 40 from when I was growing up, in addition to having Dream Castle. Fun times! My collection grew considerably right up until about 2014, where I had some significant personal issues and I had to sell off almost everything I had. I held onto those that were dear and near to my heart. And I've since picked up the 35th anniversary ponies. :)

As long as I can get em on Amazon,  that'll make me happy. Depending on how they do the eyes as well. If they're just glued on, or they fall out, or they make them regular ponies forget it.

I hope for the same! Amazon is pricey but I'm glad to find them there at all. Target no longer appears to be an option at all. Curious how the Twinkle Eyes will turn out. The quality has been pretty good so far so it makes me think we'll see something nice.

I do believe this is the end of the line (for a while anyway.) I noticed Strawberry Shortcake was back on the shelf. So maybe MLP might come back at some point. Either way, I'm happy that there were some nice releases. I do love my snowy white Gusty. :)

Both Paper Source and Cracker Barrel are a bit of a drive for me. And I'm convinced Target is no longer carrying the retro G1 ponies, so I sucked it up and paid out the nose for a Lickety Split from Amazon. I can't wait until she arrives! I'm going to have to keep my eye out for the twinkle eyes when those get released. Pretty sure I'll have to shell out quite a bit for those, but I'm excited to get a nice Gingerbread!

I would be all about the mint spray and I'd finally have a mint Gingerbread and Sweet Stuff!

I got curious over the weekend and hit up Target to see if there were any ponies on the shelf. When I was there a week or two ago, the sticker was still there but there were no ponies. When I went this weekend, the sticker was gone and no sign of classic MLP anywhere. You can't seem to order them through Target's website either, which is a bummer. Amazon is so dang expensive! I hope it's just a hiccup in production, but it really seems like Target won't carry them anymore. I want to be wrong.

I'm hoping to find a Posey or a Cherries Jubliee! Nothing at my local Target yet. Hopefully this set makes it's way here. I don't recall ever seeing the Bubbles & Applejack set but I swear we had Rainbow ponies for an eternity.

I was finally able to get Gusty and Sparkler at my local Target. They look so nice! It felt like they had the second set of rainbow ponies for an eternity along with the collector post. And I never did see the earth pony set with Bubbles and Applejack.

Lately, I have seen maybe one or two G1 ponies at antique malls. And before that, I hadn't really seen G1's at flea markets or thrift shops since 2003-ish. Granted, I did not spend a lot of time looking but I think after that point many G1's already got bought up by collectors or got tossed out as junk. Most of my G1's were either from ebay or close friends who also had ponies growing up. I inherited a few small collections that way! There's a vintage toy shop about an hour away that I'd like to visit. They carry all kinds of neat stuff and I often wonder if they ever get anything G1 MLP.

I love the Tokidoki unicorns. A friend of mine gave me a few for my birthday. The designs are unique and I love the colors.

I'm pretty excited about finding a Gusty! The Targets in my area have had rainbows and collector ponies for what feels like an eternity. Not complaining though - I will be happy when the new wave shows up!

I don't have pictures but:

G1: I know my first one was Night Glider. I want to say the second one was Boysenberry Pie but it's been so long now I can't remember.

G2: Sky Skimmer and Ivy. I really thought their color schemes were beautiful. I wasn't wild about the G2 design but they grew on me over the years.

G3: Pinkie Pie and Kimono. It's kind of odd seeing these on the shelf again since it seems not so long ago they were brand new!

G4: Applejack and Fluttershy.

I started to pull back around 2012 and sold off a good portion of my collection outside of the ones I absolutely loved. Then, I was completely out after 2014 until a couple years ago when the 35th anniversary popped up. Since then my collection has been downsized quite a bit. I still enjoy MLP but I have other responsibilities and hobbies I want to focus on in the meantime. :)

That's so neat! Thank you for sharing. The new snowbabies that feature the G1's remind me of these. I would like to pick up one or two at some point. :)

Fizzy was one of my favorite TE ponies, right up there with Gingerbread. Speedy I'm not huge on simply because I don't like orange much & she always seems to have regrind like Party Time. With all the basic fun re-releases, I'm really hoping they might release some TE's!

I've been watching the new She Ra series on Netflix. I know it's had a fair amount of hate... but I really like it. It's entertaining and I like the wide range of characters. I've also been watching the new Ducktales on Disney Plus & that's not bad either.
