Quick question - tools
« on: April 01, 2013, 08:05:57 AM »
Just a quick question. I have finished my first rehair, almost, and I want to shorten the length while leaving the natural look at the ends. I know there is a hair stylist tool that will do the trick. A comb with a razor embedded in the tines. But I have no idea what that tool is called. Does anyone know? I'm pretty sure this will give me the natural look I am wanting.

Thanks!

Would you be referring to the blending shears?

A thinner? Won't that make the plastic like, split?

I don't see why it would. It's a comb. You comb the hair and it just trims some off. You wouldnt be combing the scalp, and even if you did, the tines of the comb would protect it from the razor.

Here we go! Something like this! http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Unisex-Scissor-Replacement-Razors/dp/B005HFAY22/ref=pd_sim_hpc_3

Though I did spot one on a horse grooming website that was like $2. I might have to give that one a try.

Thank you!

You can also use scissors, and try this: http://www.dolls-n-daggers.com/Dolls/OOAKtipshair.php#Styling

Thank you :) I've done it with scissors and I'm not too fond of it. Of course, if the comb doesn't work out I will go back to that method.

Ohh I know what you're talking about, a comb with a razor blade within the teeth of the comb. We have this exact one in our bathroom!
