Today I got a Majesty from a car boot sale (UK) and someone has written S. H. on her back hooves in pink highlighter. If I remember rightly there is a user on here with a signature asking for people to look out for ponies marked with initials but I searched and couldn't find them. Can someone tag them?
Also - as it was hard to search the area for posts, is anyone else looking for ponies from their childhood? If there are multiple people I was thinking about making a database that can be easily searched for identifying marks on a childhood pony!

Stuff like this makes me think of Toy Story, where Andy has his name on the bottom of the foot of his favorite toy. Really makes me think this Majesty was loved under her original owner. Sadly, she is not mine.

I think there was someone looking for ponies marked W. S. at one time.
A database would be an awesome idea (but probably very hard work!), I've sometimes acquired ponies with names/initials on them and wondered about their history/wondered if someone is looking for them.
Has anyone ever actually been reunited with a childhood pony (or other toy) in this way?

I have heard a few people asking about stuff like this, but the geographical reach of such a search would be really difficult.
My childhood ponies had my name on their hooves but some of them have since worn off, too.
And then there's the other problem of people who own ponies in their collections that are someone else's childhood pony. There's an ethical dilemma there that could be kicked up. It's a bit selective to only catalogue ponies that are not wanted by the person who finds them, and the chances are that we all own a lot of someone else's childhood ponies already.

I think there was a database of stuff like this at one point? I'm sure I remember seeing a site along these lines.

If anyone recalls the site, I have a Princess Misty with "Erin" on her front left hoof. :)
