There was a time my G3s ruled the roost, but now they may be tied with my G1s. I was always a G1 collector first but G3s came out when I had a steady job and not much else to pay for lol I would purchase them almost daily if there were new ones at the store.

She's still in storage at the moment (hopefully only a few more weeks) but after that, i've not yet figured out how I can post pictures on this forum yet LOL. Once I get her out of the box she will likely end up on my facebook lol

Welcome! What generation ponies are in your herd? If it's from a 5 year old i'd guess G4 but you never know, especially with a number like 1000 lol!

I've had this happen to an Avon pony (Jazzmatazz) but reading through the thread this seems common? I'm honestly relieved it wasn't just mine. But I can throw a wrench in the "light exposure" theory. Her hair was fine for years, her buddies was a little wild but nothing horrible. Mine has been in storage the last 4 years. a nice temperature controlled storage facility. I took her out and brushed her hair (which showed no signs of degrading at all) and JUST THE PINK snapped off at the roots. weirdest thing I've ever seen. Her tail pink seems fine but she's got 2 bald streaks in her mane now, poor thing.

When I was really into collecting online a few years ago (over a decade) it was murder trying to find SS Twilight for a decent price. Not sure how but I ended up with a beautiful one, perhaps I've just blocked out how much I paid for her

I've done several trans Atlantic moves with bubble wrap and paper towel. Or if you have regular white towels. Regular pose G1, G2, and G3s are pretty resilient.[ETA -> I am not great with G4s most of mine seem pretty fragile but they are blind bags, I don't know enough about this line to tell you specific tips] I just layer them in a box next to each other (provided they are factory made and don't have any plastic defects)and I'll put a layer of paper towel between the layers. Windy wing, summer wing and flutters with wings would all be individually bubble wrapped and then placed at the top of a box that is labelled "Do not stack on top of" or something like that so they don't get squished.
always white, towels, tissue paper, paper towel. Nothing with dye in it. this is especially true for Pullip dolls. My Batgirl got staining on her costume, OFF HER OWN COSTUME. I was not impressed with that. But definately don't put colours next to your ponies, especially if it's hot you'll likely get some transfer.

I love animation errors! I have found many (lots of which have been highlighted in this thread) in pony episodes. Jem always makes me laugh a little harder because, I can understand to a degree how people might mix up, hey this pony is this colour and this pony is this colour, but when you have a cast of human characters, who are all very different looking, it seems really hilarious that you'd end up with Aja standing next to herself. But animation flubs are always hilarious.
My favorite pony moment though is more of a curiosity rather than a "mistake" there is a scene where Gusty is walking (I want to say this is during The End of Flutter Valley, but I'm not certain. Anyway for whatever reason she decides to dig her horn into the ground and say "My horn itches" THAT MADE IT INTO THE FINAL SCRIPT? AND GOT ANIMATED? LOL WHAT? So hilarious.

The original 6 just got to my part of Canada in June 2018, as in sold in stores for $19.99 . I can see the rainbows being released on amazon. Those baby mock ups are really cool!

That is one of the coolest things I've seen, to give all the carousel ponies on a carousel! What a great friend! and wonderful gifts from your family too. That's a great bunch of ponies!

I have some pullips!
I can't post pictures quite frankly because I haven't figured it out yet lol. But I have Cornice and Raphia (my first two), Batgirl and Catwoman, Asuka and Rei, Assa, Grell, Ala, Hello Kitty, Principessa, Regen Fanatica, Moon, Nero, and Lunatic Queen out of the box, I have a Rozen Maiden whos name escapes me (black dress, white hair) and Princess Serena from Sailor Moon still in the box. They are less in the box for MIB sake and more because I know I'll be moving and they will be safer in their boxes. Makes for an interesting display.

That's really interesting, I didn't know there was a re-issue of these dolls. I have 10 or so of them. Do they have different markings than the Tonka ones?

I have a few of these! Crystal Star, Whimzee, Bitsy, theone with the glasses (without her glasses) and the one who used to run the orb thing... hang on while I google this info...Sparky and Dream Gazer, and I think I have Stumbles from the Snoozers. Oh and Roary, almost forgot lol. Passed up an Ursa and little Ursa (unsure of names) at an antique mall a couple years ago which I'm kicking myself for. But that's my collection so far. Some of them are missing their shoes, which is quite annoying, almost as annoying as missing a stand. Hope you find what you're looking for
