So Sparkleworks *could* have been an incredible G3. Orange with fireworks?? Then they slapped basic pink hair on her. Whut.

This has been a fun project for a pony that I keep seeming to get over and over in lots. As I find more I may add more variations to this project. 3 color and 4 color will be listed on ebay this week cause a girl only needs so many Sparkleworks, no matter how cool she is LOL.
My fav is the yellow followed by the 4 color.

i said this on insta already but i love both the 3-color and 4-colors! if there were a 4-color one in the sunny daze pose like your yellow-haired one is in, I'd totally buy it from you ;) i have the original release pose and the walking pose just doesn't totally do it for me (doesnt seem energetic enough for sparkleworks lol)

I really like the yellow one with the blaze! I love a blaze and the yellow hair does a lot to bring out her symbol compared to the original pink colour.

The thing is that Sparkleworks with the orange and the pink hair seemed fine to me in 2003, because at that point Hasbro hadn't done orange-and-pink to death (they were working on it mind you) in the same way they have now.
Now I consider it a very dull colour scheme, but back then...it didn't seem so bad.

I agree! Orange was pretty exciting in general back then.

Looks like I may be the only one but Sparkleworks was my first g3 pony so she's very special to me so I her classic hair color is iconic to me but I the 4 color option is also nice!

Please do and share pics! G3s have such great colors that they really shine with new ones.

While I do like the different versions, what I can say about the yellow is I wished she had some bright red to help compliment her symbols. The yellow is very pretty (and yes, the blaze too!), but looking at her next to the others, she seems a little washed out. Red came to mind to represent fire, and lead to the fireworks symbol.
The original, with her pink, just looks weird. I always thought so, since pink and orange have never been a favorite color scheme of mine.
That leaves the other options...3 and 4 colors. It is hard to say which I would say I have a preference for, as the colors are somewhat hidden by their nicely brushed appearance. It's obvious these girls were primping for their photo shoot! The 3 color scheme matches her symbols very nicely, although with the 4th color, it does give a little more contrast and brightens up her overall appearance. Maybe we are just getting to the point of liking matchy matchy for hair and symbols, so those options are most appealing.
Nice job though! Sparkleworks was always one of my least favorite ponies, and at least with the different hair options, she seems to have a little more unique personality than she used to.
