I have loved My Little Pony since I was young. I used to have a larger collection that I carried with me to friends houses in a neon green basket purse.
I don't know where it ended up, but I'm sure my mother either sold it or gave it away. :(

I started my collection again from scratch about 10 years ago, slow and steady to acquire some of my favorites. Like Gusty, Cherries Jubilee, Sundance, flocked and sparkle ponies.

Also, I was not aware that there were MLP movies or shows until a few years ago. So I purchased a few DVD's online just recently and I can't wait to watch them.

My favorite ponies are the G1 ponies. Those are the ones I collected during childhood. Although I did have only one G2 pony. It was a white wedding/marriage pony. I don't quite remember the name. I came with a veil and a ceremony structure.

I will definitely be adding more G2 ponies to my growing G1 collection.

I was the same growing up--I had a bunch of dearly-loved my little ponies and took them everywhere with me to play with friends at their houses, but I had *no idea* that there were tv shows or movies or anything like it! Due mostly to the fact that my family didn't have a tv until I was a teenager, and I spent most of my time playing outdoors anyway. My friends and I just made up our own stories and characters as we played with the ponies, and that was all I ever needed.

I'm sorry to hear you lost your childhood ponies! I had packed mine away under my bed, and only rediscovered them many years later when I was moving out into my first apartment. And I fell in love with them all over again, and started researching them online to see which ones I had and how many more I was still missing (what a pony goldmine the internet is!), and I found this forum! I have never stopped learning about and collecting MLP since, and still going strong 12 later.

G2 ponies are so cute, even if they are a bit hard to find. I hope you can find some cute ones to add to your collection. :)
