A really nice lady sold me these at a garage sale, but when I tried to give them to my kids they were freaked out of them b/c their eyes were too big. Would anyone here be interested? I have the big case listed on ebay for $20, but the rest I have no idea. They all have some slight damage.

I think everyone slips into passive voice sometimes. I can't say much about stopping it, but I will say that I often do two things as I edit. I 'find' function -ing- and look at my ing vebs. Also, I use a few of the free editing pages that will help to show passive voice. (http://editminion.com) (prowritingaid.com)

Thank you ringwraith10. It's supposed to be cheerful zombie stories so there is a lot of comedic takes/happy endings/ oddly upbeat themes.

My own story is about a girl in a wheelchair who tries to use necromancy to reanimate her legs. Things don't go exactly as planed, but the ending is still decently upbeat. :)

On a separate note, I don't know if there are any Furries here on the Arena but I also contributed to the Roar Volume 6 anthology by FurPanet Productions. It's an anthology centered on the theme of scoundrels and the characters are all anthropomorphic animals.  It was the first time i ever tried to write Furry fiction. It took lots of research, but I think it came out well also. That one isn't available yet. It's up for preorder but it won't actually be released until the very end of July.

I'll try to organize a giveaway (if that sort of thing is allowed) once I have them in stock.

Thanks! I know it's just a small press, but I got paid for something I wrote so I count that as a step in the right direction.

I was selected as a contributor for Sunny with a Chance of Zombies by Knightwatch Press. It's not a big deal, but I'm still happy. It's available in paperback format right now, but should be electronically soon as well.

Check it out if you like!

Okay guys, they are selling pretty fast so if you are interested get with me as soon as you can. When I was there this morning we had: longhorn beetle, centipede, emerald beetle, jeweled beetle, funnel web spider, cicada, and a cockroach, locust, lantern bug.

There was also a scorpion in the case set but it was $2.99 instead of $1.49.

I'm going to put pictures in a spoiler tab b/c they are gross. lol

We have these bugs in clear plastic at my work, they are like paperweights. I think they are gross, but several people have told me they are a great deal. Does anyone collect them? I could pick a few up for you, I think they are like $2.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Ebay language barrier
« on: June 04, 2015, 01:34:29 PM »
Thanks guys. :) I tried resending the message 'in chinese' and it seems to have worked.  They sent back ok, that I was a good shopper, and if I bought again they'd offer a discount on future a purchase. That's probably as close as I can get.  Next time I won't say anything. ^^

Trader & Shipping Support / Ebay language barrier solved!

I bought a plush (pokemon) from china and it was very cheap. When it arrived one of the seams was popped so I shot them a quick message like- hey it was ripped, but it's still a good deal so I don't want anything from you, I am just letting you know so that you can check the others in the batch. They responded that they were sorry and if I sent pictures they'd send another one.  I replied no thanks I will just sew it, I wanted to let you know so you could talk to your quality control people and let them know. Then, they offered me a partial refund.  At that point, I tried just sending no thank you, I'm happy. They offered a partial refund or replacement item again. I've already given positive feedback, and I really don't want anything from them.

Any advice on how to make them understand, or should I just stop responding and hope for the best?
