Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Lol Surprise Dolls
« on: March 15, 2018, 09:11:22 AM »
Hey everyone. It's been a long long time since I was online here. My daughter kind of got out of MLP and moved on to LOL surprise. Anyone else collect? I've heard that international folks have some of the series 1 and 2 dolls (that are discontinued in the US). If anyone sees some about and wouldn't mind to post internationally, pm me!

Does anyone have experience using this platform? I made one for my F/F romance novella and I am trying to figure out how to go about reaching supporters. So far I have tried goodreads, facebook, twitter and the like. I think it's so niche that I probably won't make the 100 people, but I want to try my best. I am giving away a little tablet for one person who supports. It's not a fancy one, but I thought that would help more than it has. lol

A really nice lady sold me these at a garage sale, but when I tried to give them to my kids they were freaked out of them b/c their eyes were too big. Would anyone here be interested? I have the big case listed on ebay for $20, but the rest I have no idea. They all have some slight damage.

Off Topic / Anthology released today

I was selected as a contributor for Sunny with a Chance of Zombies by Knightwatch Press. It's not a big deal, but I'm still happy. It's available in paperback format right now, but should be electronically soon as well.

Check it out if you like!

Off Topic / bug collectors?
« on: June 09, 2015, 01:02:45 PM »
We have these bugs in clear plastic at my work, they are like paperweights. I think they are gross, but several people have told me they are a great deal. Does anyone collect them? I could pick a few up for you, I think they are like $2.

Trader & Shipping Support / Ebay language barrier solved!
« on: June 03, 2015, 02:29:15 PM »
I bought a plush (pokemon) from china and it was very cheap. When it arrived one of the seams was popped so I shot them a quick message like- hey it was ripped, but it's still a good deal so I don't want anything from you, I am just letting you know so that you can check the others in the batch. They responded that they were sorry and if I sent pictures they'd send another one.  I replied no thanks I will just sew it, I wanted to let you know so you could talk to your quality control people and let them know. Then, they offered me a partial refund.  At that point, I tried just sending no thank you, I'm happy. They offered a partial refund or replacement item again. I've already given positive feedback, and I really don't want anything from them.

Any advice on how to make them understand, or should I just stop responding and hope for the best?

Customs / Anime Swap Erza Scarlet for Tikibirds
« on: November 10, 2014, 08:49:01 PM »
I a hosting the Anime Swap. My partner was Tikibirds.  I was actually surprised how many people love Erza. I have always been a crazy fan, so right when I saw her name I knew she was for me.  I chose the heart kreuz armor since it is what she is most often depicted in.

Customs / Halloween Swap for babyblueducky
« on: October 04, 2014, 05:44:39 PM »
Babyblueducky had neon colors on her list so I tried to incorporate those preferences into the first custom.  I went with a theme other had tried before, the candy corn dragon. Since Babyblueducky didn't want much heavy sculpting that could get broken I used worbla (a heat reactive plastic) on this custom instead of clay.  It doesn't take paint quite as well, but it's very strong..

The next thing on Babyblueducky's list was phantom of the opera. I decided on a gradient blue fbr to mimic nighttime colors.  Then I painted the mural from the iconic scene on the flank.  It is sealed with testors dull coat, painted with acrylics.
