Title: Favorite Cookery Ponies
Post by: Leave a Whisper on September 24, 2017, 10:04:48 AM
This one's for you Taffeta and mah UK Pony Peeps.  ^.^

Man I love all these girls! Sure wish we got em over here. Sweet Delights is my favorite, I love her pose, classic colors and her detailed symbol. Nice n Spicy is a very close second. She's so pretty, oh but so is Vanilla Treats.

I love you sometimes xD But seriously, you know I wasn't getting at you, right? I think you rock ;)

Also, Nillie for me. She was my childhood pony and she jumped out of a scented cloud ninja style in the comic and scared the heck out of two other ponies, so I have to love her. Nillie is my pick (Vanilla Treats).

I know you weren't. I think you guys are lucky to have so many gorgeous and unique sets there and they def need more representation.

Vanilla Treats is like a pony ninja? Awesome!

Vanilla Treats is a ninja? Awesome!

I'd trade a lot of them in to have had the year 2 and 3 unicorn and pegasus ponies and year 3 rainbow ponies. Seriously. I can only imagine what it must have been like to see them in stores. Oh well. Grass is greener and all that.

Yep, apparently. Apparently she also lives in that cloud. As you do.

Cherry Sweet! She has such gorgeous colours, and I love her pose. :D She was a childhood pony, I loved her so much.

I would have adored Vanilla Treat if she was in a different pose, same with Nice 'n Spicy.

Torn between Nice 'n Spicy and Vanilla Treat. Since I have to choose one to vote, I'll go with Nice 'n Spicy, I love that pie symbol!

I voted Sweet Delights but I like them all :)

(btw, they were available in germany too. Schleckerchen (Nice 'n Spicy), Kirschtörtchen (Sherry Sweet), Vanillchen (Vanilla Treat) and Pralinchen (Sweet Delight) are their names :)

We ought to discuss European names for ponies more. Some of the German names are so cute. I still love Kirschblute (can't do umlauts easily, sorry) as a name xD.
I think I have one of this set on a German card. I forget which but it might be Cherry Sweet? That name looks familiar..?

Is it not risky to ask her? She might decide you need to buy her one...;)

So hard! These ponies are so pretty and sweet. I went with Vanilla Treat because I love cake :) Also, what comic is that from Taffeta? I want to read it!

Erm...you mean which number? Erm...I am genuinely not sure. I don;t have my comics to hand here in London and I cleverly didn't write which comic number it came from when I put the picture on my site :/ One of the later ones, though...somewhere around the 180-200 mark maybe from the UK comic release? Sorry to be useless xD.

ETA - Maybe #189 as the cover says something about a Cookery Pony competition and those often happened when new sets were introduced..?

Not at all.  :satisfied:  OT But we're on the look out for Gypsy and the Berrytowns for her.

O.o You know that Daddy Berrytown is possibly the worst UK/Euro pony to find in terms of rarity and price out of all of them, right? No pressure there ;) By comparison, cookery pony seems a safer bet ;)

I don't have any of these ponies - clearly a grave error that needs to be remedied - but I like Cherry Sweet the most. Love that vibrant colour combination  :)

Sweet Delight is my favorite. Nice n' Spicy would be a close second. Cherry Sweet is lovely also. I absolutely love the European sets as I prefer ponies without gimmicks.

It's such a fun set, isn't it?! :)  Mine is a bit faded in places but so much fun to be had. It was the first playset I ever got and my two little girls couldn't get enough of it when it arrived   Even now they still ask for it to come out now and then. Hard since it is currently in storage! So much fun though watching them play with it (very carefully! :) ) like I would have if I'd had it as a kid :)

My childhood kitchen came with a teeny tiny pony. Because leaving a tiny baby pony unsupervised in a kitchen with an oven and cutting tools makes tons of sensw. I remember it was a Woolworths special offer. Nillie was most put out, ;)

It has some amazing tiny accessories.

I picked Cherry Sweet but I love Vanilla Treat too.
Ooh the pony kitchen!! That's the only playset I have (no room for others), and I love it to bits. It has adorable little cookie cutters which I once used to make tiny pony-sized marzipan (yes I was ostensibly grown-up at the time. But it was super fun).

For some reason it's not letting me vote, but I adore Vanilla Treat. She's beautiful and vanilla is one of my favorite flavors and scents. :)

Your ponies were lucky. Mine were stuck on a diet of pine needles harvested each Christmas and stored in the nursery ;) But they did like the cakes from the kitchen set ;)

It's a lovely playset. Though I'm not sure if it is as popular as it should be. I've had doubles of many of the accessory bits for a while but no luck selling them. :/  Unless its because as a newer set, the kitchen is more often available complete? I dunno.

Somehow I got this weird picture of this crazy little Tiny Teenie baby crawling in the kitchen with all the fearful sharp objects. I can just see the cookery ponies faces going OH NO DON'T GO THERE! I can seem them scrambling to keep the baby out of the kitchen time and time again.

I found it hilarious because the pony was Little Rattles/Whiskers and I think in the comic she was really shy and didn't even dare speak. And there she was with this whole great kitchen to play with! I don't know who at the store thought that was a smart idea. Not that I minded, I really wanted Little Rattles as a kid and I hadn't been able to find her, so when she was the special offer extra in my Christmas present, I was really happy. But very amused. xD. I am guessing maybe it was because the card was small enough to fold and put in the box...I still have the card with the big crease across the middle.

Poor Nillie. She was my only cookery pony, and I had no candy canes, so there she was thinking she had a place to herself, and turned out she had to adopt a teeny pony to even get in the door ;)

Nillie: But I'm a grown up.
Rattles: But its MINE.
Nillie: I'll make you cake?
Rattles: Has cake :D Play in playhouse now?
Nillie: NO THAT'S THE OVEN!!!

Oh yes. Much fun.

oh my that reminds of the time I saw that picture with the Apple Delight family the Daddy burnt the bread that came smoking out of the oven and the boy was jumping all over the pillows. I forgot what the little girl was doing. I remember now, she was crying holding her toy. Imagine the Mommy coming back from the store finding an huge mess in her house?! lol it makes me smile and laugh so does your little story. :)
