Anybody acquainted with Schleich and its wide range of highly-detailed figures? They've got animals, dinosaurs and fantasy/mythology lines. I always wanted to start a collection of these, but the prices are a bit too steep for my current financial situation ^^; I remember owning two knights (with horses) and a two-headed dragon when I was a child, tho.

Yes, I have a decent amount of model horses. DD has various animals.

I admire them whenever I pass a display in a store, but I don't own any Schleich myself (probably had some as a kid though). I actually prefer CollectA because of their association with Breyer and own a small herd of foals, I thought they were so adorable so I splurged a bit. I do agree that both Schleich and CollectA can be a bit pricey, but they're highly detailed and durable so I'd say they're worth it if you enjoy them.

I've got a bunch of Schleich figures but they're packed away at the moment.
I will say, the quality has gone down some in recent years. I'm not sure what happened since they used to be so detailed and painted well. They're better than most still, but they're not as nice as they used to be (especially the fantasy lines).

only schleich figures i have are some of the older plush animals we have a kangaroo and a teddy bear

Oooh I LOVE Schleich, especially the Bayala line :) Even though it's impossible to find in my neck of the woods. Shame that they seem to be phasing out the non-unicorn/pegasus Bayala animals, though :( Those were my favourites.

I have some of their horses and dinosaurs. They're really nice but I prefer the similarly-sized breyer paddock pals. And their dinosaurs aren't that good

I don't recall owning (m)any but I got a dragon for my boyfriend, and I would play with em as a kid in stores. I likes the Knights and their matching horse the best.

I don't collect them, but I do like some of them. I have a beautiful unicorn with pale pink glitter hair and flowers/branches on it. I also saw a lovely toucan that I really want. :D

I don't collect them, but I do have a few. Mostly Smurfs and a couple of dinosaurs here and there, but I also have Bayala characters Misamee and the ice cat (that originally came with a sleigh) which I found at a charity store last year. I mostly pick them up at car boots and charity stores when I see ones I like :)
