My family doesn't celebrate Halloween, and neither have I since I was 10 (last time trick-or-treating ) But I'm tired of the fact that we never spend any quality time together except during Christmas, so I'm DETERMINED to throw a proper party for them this year. Whether they want one or not

I have tons of ideas for snacks and decorations, but I don't want the party to be just sitting around and eating. But my family is such a wide range in terms of age (me and my siblings are in our early 20's-30's, mom and dad are in their 60's and 70's) that I'm having a hard time coming up with party games that will be fun for everyone. I guess I could buy some board games... But I'd LOVE to do something with a little more pizazz! (also, I'm not sure my family even likes board games? We've never owned any.)

Sorry if it's too early to post this, I'm just excited (and it's probably October somewhere by now ) So how do you do it? Do you celebrate Halloween at all?

I just washed out Zipp's hair product. Her hair is a bit short and sits funny but at least I can brush it now! She's drying, will update tomorrow.

How easy was it to wash out? Is it the kind of thing a well-meaning mom could easily rinse out and accidentally "ruin" their kid's toy forever, or is it a bit tougher than that?

Noo not another food thread, I'm supposed to be on a diet!

When my siblings and I were younger, our dad would sometimes go to England to visit his side of the family. We couldn't go with him most of the time because we couldn't afford a full family vacation, but he made up for it by bringing home a very special souvenir - Cadbury chocolate! Plain Dairy Milk bars were always my favorite, but my siblings liked Creme Eggs the most.

My dad doesn't travel much now in his old age, so I hadn't tasted any Cadbury in a very long time. That is, until my sister told me she had this whole pack of mini chocolates she was just going to throw away - apparently, she doesn't like Dairy Milk at all!

I only wish I'd savored it a bit longer, because those delectable, nostalgic bites did not last long with me for the record, I think Norwegian Freia chocolate is probably "objectively" a bit better. But the nostalgia, man... Say, when is the Arena ever going to have a chocolate swap?

Thank you! I feel a bit bad because my parents forgot that it was my birthday, so now they feel really guilty about it. I wish I could make them understand how not upset I am, because I still had a wonderful day hanging out with my very dearest friend AND I got a beautiful drawing from my sibling!

My sibling sent me a message asking if I want anything for my birthday tomorrow. I asked if they could make a fanart of my favorite OCs. But then I started panicking and apologizing, for selfishly thrusting them into an art request out of nowhere... and they replied "Now, listen here, anxiety. It's your birthday, let yourself have a birthday."
Something about that wording is so reassuring, I don't even know how to explain it
