Packing Dolls for shipping? (Vintage Cupcakes Dolls)

I recently sold some vintage cupcakes dolls on ebay and now i am wondering how to pack them for shipping?

Is a a bubble envelope okay? Or do they need to be bubble wrapped and put in a box?

I think a bubble mailer would be fine.  If you're worried about the frosting hat you could wrap it in a little extra bubble wrap.

Depending on the value and condition of the dolls I might would spring for a box. But, I have had major issues with USPS and trust them as far as I can throw them, so.... >.<
