For Sale - For Auction / MLP auctions
« on: April 25, 2017, 03:33:11 PM »
Hi MLP:ers!  :)

My friend currently has some MLP auctions at the Swedish Ebay auction site tradera.com

http://www.tradera.com/profile/items/4301132/esterbm

Just a few MLP-auctions right now, but alot more very exciting stuff in great condition is coming up! From one of the greatest MLP collections in Europe. I'll try to keep you posted here.

She accepts international bids on all of her auctions, and is used to international customers. But she's not a member here. But you may ask me aswell if you have a specific question about something, or having trouble understanding the Tradera site, and I'll do my best to be helpful and find the answer.

grayswandir, thanks for pointing this out, but it must be a temporary error, because all of the auctions are open for international bidders from the entire world. I just checked them all. So feel free to try again, and it should most likely work :)

Many of the auctions are ending in less than an hour btw, good luck bidding everyone, hope it works out :)

And a few end in a couple of days, and then no more auctions until late January or so.

Wow, never seen such beautiful and great condition ponies and with so many of their original accessories sell so incredibly cheap, I'm extremely shocked!!! Congrats to those who won them, you certainly made a great deal, that's for sure! :)

Sorry to hear about the troubles people are having registering at Tradera. It's the Swedish department of ebay, so they should be able to make things work after all these years. But then again the Swedish site works somewhat different from ebay. But still they should be able to talk you through registering and fix things for each person.

I would contact them myself for you, but I have a hard time figuring out where it goes wrong during registering. So I think it's better if you talk directly to Tradera using this link:

http://info.tradera.com/faq/kontakt/kontakta-tradera-kundservice/

...you should see a field to the right that says "Kontaktalternativ" where you click the yellow button and fill in your name, email and your question, and pick the first alternative in the box below.

This is a live chat that is active 3:00 am until 12:00 every day (in New York time, EST) and English should be fine to ask your questions.

Or maybe one of the collectors who already solved the problem of registering at Tradera can give us a little hint here? I think there were some people out there who were able to register and bid. :)

grayswandir, what kind of trouble occurs when you try to sign up? Tried my suggestions of contacting the Tradera support? :)

There are some more auctions added now btw. :)

Pony Corral / Re: Variation?

Yes and I've looked around some more and it appears it's not that unusual for this pony afterall. So much for my variation then. Well thanks for all the replies people. Atleast it's probably not rehaired then. :)

Sweden actually, I just recounted into dollars to post here. And it was a regular pony I forgot to say, I have never seen a flutter pony in real life so far, but thanks for the good guesses. I looked around the net and I thought it was Magic Star like Taffeta suggested, until I went back to the store and it turns out it was not yellow at all! Silly me, it was pink. I did a search and it's called Raspberry Jam.

I found several pictures but nowhere does it have such long "forelocks" on any
releases of Raspberry Jam. It's twice as long as it should be, like the rest of the hair.

It just looks really cool in my opinion. I know this isn't exactly amazing, but is this a thing among pony collectors? Would anyone pay well for a variation like this? Or does this appear on every now and then on G1 ponies?

It does have an ink spot on top of it's left ear so it's not perfect.

And could it be re-haired? I'm thinking it isn't, since I found it in this second hand store where I've never seen any customized ones before, and there's nothing else unusual about it. And it feels like regular ponyhair. Does the hair that people use to re-hair ponies have different feel to it? Could you tell it apart?

Thanks for the replies. Ok let's see what I can remember, there was another pony there too that I didn't buy so I may be mixing them up. But this one might have been yellow with green hair. I think it was an early pony, one of the more common ones with no special styled hair, just onecolored hair. It costed about a dollar or so, I thought it was too much.

Found a common G1 adult pony at a second hand store. Can't remember which one since I didn't buy it. But it had unusually long hair just for the top part, you know the bangs or whatever it's called for ponies. Doesn't look custom re-haired. Is this an unusual variation? How common is it?

Thunderwing, not that I'm an expert and not that I want to question your knowledge or anything. But I thought we were beyond calling it "Vinyl Deterioration Spots". It sounds good, but I don't think there's anything that speaks for it at all.

Even though the plastic of ponies is kinda soft, it's definitely dry. It's factory made and I wouldn't call these spots simply mold. I think these kind of spots would be alot more common if they were mold. They would probably show up in more places all over the ponies that show signs of it. And there would probably atleast be several similar spots in that area.

I think it's more logical to want to know exactly why this happens, a more scientific reason. Like when certain dolls get big dark spots, we don't just call them mold, but rather investigate and find reasons like that they have metallic parts inside that cause this.

There was a Youtube video that magnified a "cancer"-spot of a pony, and you can clearly see it's not simply mold but rather some kind of bacteria. Or some microscopic insects that have found their way in. My guess is that this happens when ponies have some kind of microscopic damage, and perhaps are stored in a way that they are subjected to either heat, sunlight, moisture, or perhaps all of those at once.

I'd love to see if anyone has a still sealed pony with "pony-cancer" that all if it's "life" has been stored in a toystore until it reached someones wellkept collection.

Yes that's it, Kiss-a-Loves! I would never have thought of that name. I guess I never memorized it back then. Thanks both of you! :)

Made some searches for them now and I'm surprised to see there were only six of them. Although I've found a picture that shows six extra ones with alternate colors. Perhaps those were never released.

Very excited to see there are Brush-a-Loves too, which seem to be related.

Funny there were so many similar toys in the 80's, MLP, Popples, Keypers, Kissa-A-Loves, Carebears and lots more. Not that they are that similar, but put them next to each other and you can kinda connect one to the next in several ways. Kiss-a-Loves I guess is the link between popples and MLP, or something like that.
