Ebay: \"MOC Mimic\" is actually just a printed photo

If you look up on ebay "MIMIC MINT ON CARD!" it will pop up. The bid is already up to $71. I don't want to see others get "scammed", fooled, or disappointed, even though it does say it is just a picture, not the real thing, in the description.

I just went and checked this out. I really hope that the people who bid on it were aware that they are bidding on a print. Since it says right on the description that it is a print, I don't think they will be able to get their money back once the auction ends.

I think the main headline is misleading, so they may boot it on that technicality. The seller is a known scammer and there's a thread about her on the Trader and Classified support area:

I noticed that too, because I saw her and was ready to bid a lot higher (like $60) until I saw it was just a picture. I can't believe it's at $70, OMG.

Ugh, that is so slimy to do something like that! I can't believe people. Surely the seller can be nailed for a misleading selling?

I reported it and also messaged her saying she should probably message the bidders and ensure they know what they're getting and cancel the bids if there was a misunderstanding. Yeah, everyone should read things fully but what she's doing is really sketchy.

She said she tried to revise it but it wouldn't let her and that they should have read the description. I'm sorry, I think this is disgusting.

Yeah I saw that auction earlier. It's a skeevy thing to do.  Unfortunately, I think ebay will side with the seller as she clearly states it is just a photo. I feel bad for whoever wins.

This is why when I bid on items that are pricey, I make sure I read the description multiple times and ask questions if needed.

Was was so excited when I saw the photo scrolling through Ebay to be honest it took for a minute to reread and get my head around the auction.  Does the seller own the actual MOC mimic in the photo if not that's pretty cheeky too ...

Yes it was removed. And the seller would be able to do some changing to her listing. Just not be able to change the price. I looked it over and was sad

Glad it was removed, saw it yesterday. A good lesson in reading the entire auction. Title was misleading, description was not.
