Like the thread for Wave 1 USA Blind Bags (http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,283852.0.html), this thread is for posting info on where you have found the Wave 3 and Wave 4 blind bags in the USA.
First, how to identify which wave a blind bag is from:

The look of the bags are different each wave, and you can also tell from the ponies that are listed on the back of the bag.
There have been 4 waves of blind bags released so far, and wave 5 is known but not yet released anywhere (and some more ponies have been seen from the factory, either prototypes or part of wave 6+).
Wave 1 was released outside the USA in 2010 and in the USA in 2012:

Wave 1: Pink/red edge, Rarity top-left, Twilight bottom-right, Canterlot Castle in back. Set contains Lily Blossom and Minty for example.
Wave 1 USA bags have UPC 6 53569 63247 4 (same as Wave 3 and Wave 4 USA bags).

Wave 2 was released outside the USA in 2011. It is not scheduled for release in the USA:

Wave 2: Purple edge, Rarity top-left, Twilight bottom-right, House in back. Set contains many G4 playful ponies: Blossomforth, Feathermay, Cheerilee, Lulu Luck, etc.
Wave 2 Europe bags have UPC 5 010994 474874.
Wave 2 has not been released in the USA (we skipped to Wave 3).
Wave 3 (also known as: USA Wave 2 or 2012 Wave 1): Released outside the USA in early 2012 (I think?) and in the USA in July 2012:

Set contains the first G4 boy ponies (Big Macintosh, Goldengrape, Meadow Song, Noteworthy) and a few background characters (Golden Harvest aka Carrot Top, Lyra Heartstrings, Cherry Berry, Sea Swirl) and the only Glow-in-the-Dark blind bags (Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity).

Wave 5 has yet to be released anywhere. It has been seen from leaks from the factory in China.

Wave5: Yellow edge, not much more known (I couldn't find an image of the bag).
Wave 6+ has yet to be released anywhere. Some blind bag-sized ponies have been seen in leaks from the factory in China that don't fit into Waves 1-5 or the Minifigure Sets.

Friendship Celebration Collection, Toys R Us exclusive, contains 9 ponies from Wave 1 (Bumblesweet, Firecracker Burst, Flower Wishes, Lemon Hearts, Lily Blossom, Pepperdance, Sugar Grape, Sweetie Blue, & Sweetie Swirl) and 3 ponies from Wave 2 not released in the USA (Blossomforth, Lulu Luck, Rainbow Flash). There are no cards in this set and no ponies are exclusive to this set.
OK, now that you know how to tell the difference between each set, post in this thread where you have seen Wave 3 or Wave 4 in stores in the USA.

Note: Wave 4 (blue bags) in Canada have different padding numbers than the USA bags.
USA would have #05 Minuette as 80256 and Canada has the same one encoded as 80652: Either way, just ignore the 1st, 3rd, and 5th digits.

I've found full box in NY.

I found Wave 3 in Massachusetts in a Newbury Comics store. There were only a few of them out, and they were on a hook up at the counter. They had actually taped the back flap down (to keep people from opening the package, maybe?), so I had to try to read the numbers backwards to figure out which ponies were inside!

I found US Wave 2 at TRU in Huntington, WV. There were only a few left and I got them all. I didn't even know they were out so I didn't have a reference guide...
I got: Rainbowshine, Goldengrape, Golden Harvest, Sprinkle Stripe, and GITD Pinkie Pie!
I ended up with a regular Twilight Sparkle and regular Rainbow Dash, but I can use them for trade, sale, or something crafty...
Hopefully these guys will become more readily available in Walmarts!

So far we JUST got Wave 1 blind bags in Eastern NC - I've only found them at Wal-Mart and TRU. If anything else pops up though, I'll update ya.

Oooh, keeping an eye on this thread. We've only ever seen wave 1 in MA, at least where I am on the north shore...

So I take it the new waves haven't been found in any Wal-Marts yet, then? Since I don't have a TRU, I just have to wait until Wal-Mart gets them. Last I checked, mine still had wave 1.

You could ask your TRU to check by UPC and they can tell you if they (or any other local TRU) have any.
I did just find my first wave 3 bags in TRU today - the USA wave 3 bags have the same UPC as the USA wave 1 bags ):
So much for being able to find the wave 3 easy by UPC.
But, happy I found some at least.
For the list:
Found Wave 3 at TRU in West Valley City, Utah (I got the partial box, had 14/24 in it)
Found Wave 3 empty box only at TRU in Orem, Utah (they also had 8 wave 1 bags left I got)
I also found the Minifigure Sets (3 Cloudsdale, 1 Apple Family) at Target in American Fork, Utah.

In Ohio (Around Columbus) - My Meijer had a whole box of wave 3! I about had a heart attack. Ponies are 2.50 and I found them in an endcap, not in their box but in a wire bin with other blind bag items/small toys
Also, Toys R us - still has wave 1
5 below - the same
Walmart - has shown no sign of blind bags or self tags for them in over a month (and I've been to 4)
Target - has never shown signs of blind bags. But much of their other mlp stuff was on clearance yesterday.
So, if you have a Meijer, it might be worth checking, as it's the cheapest option anymore (least right now and in my area)

Still no sign of wave 3but here. I made a pony run and the two Macon walmart are blind bagless. Zebulon road had a few wave 1. Forsyth/Monroe walmart had a fullfew box of wave 1 out.

Oh honey! I'm sure if you asked, they would probably understand better. We have Sorta the opposite problem. I -look-just younger than I am, so we are constantly stopped and asked questions that are supposed to sway thieves. I tell them I collect my little pony and want (insert pony here) and their entire mood changes. I hope they quit stereotyping you or whatever they are doing and help you.

Np! That was Tuesday so maybe they put new stuff out since then, but from what everyone has told me they get their new trucks in that day and if it's not on that truck, you have to wait til next weeks. Distribution has been sooo slow here though, some time next week I'll try around ILL as they have gotten new stuff much sooner for whatever reason.

For reference:
Of the 5 Targets I checked on Saturday, 1 had Blind Bags ($2.99 each though, wave 1, same store that had the minifigure sets, i fact the blind bags were on the shelf right below them in the MLP section)
Of the ~12 Walgreens I've checked in the past 3 months, ~3 had Blind Bags ($2.99 each, wave 1, over near the other blind bags/trading cards)
Of the ~12 Walmarts I've checked in tthe past 3 months, ~10 had Blind Bags ($1.98 each, wave 1 only so-far, on the shelf with the other MLP stuff)
All 4 of my local Toys R Us have had blind bags ($2.99, which was great with last week's BOGO Free sale, box on shelf with the other MLP stuff and/or end-cap hanging box near by with LPS blind bags)
Shopko I hear had them recently and discounted them at $1 each and aren't getting them back. I asked Saturday at one Shopko and they checked the computer to see that no Shopko in Utah has any more. Maybe your area still has them.
And, if you are feeling especially chatty, ask the manager at your store(s) to start stocking them. The manager decides what they sell, and if you tell them that blind bags are wanted they may order some and try.

There were 17 left in the case and I was able to use the codes to eliminate five of the mane 6 that I already had. I was able to Apple Dazzle, Berryshine, Goldengrape, Lovestruck, glow in the dark Rarity, Meadow Song, glow in the dark Pinkie Pie, Noteworth, Bitta Luck, Rainbowshine, Cherry Berry, and Lucky Dreams.
I'm just slightly sad I didn't get Big Mac, but he's out there somewhere waiting for me.

lol, I have the same problem. And my hair is neon red-orange (I match so soft Paradise!) so I'm easily recognizable. I think I've bought enough stuff to where they know I'm a collector, but I still feel like a weirdo when I zoom to the pony aisle and back out in five minutes when there isn't anything new.

*Raises a hoof* I feel your pain... I'm 6'2", have tattoos and piercings, and I have Rarity purple hair. And I'm a guy. LOL.

I used to have hair the color of Pinkie Pie's, so I know what the hair adds onto it too XD
Also, I just looked at the Target 3-pack shelf picture again. People are really selling something that's $7.99 for $18+ on ebay? That's gross. :huh:

Don't know about you but our TRU is charging $3 for each of them so I think the wave 1 box at our TRU will be sitting there for a while. Wish they charged the regular $2

All the UPCs were the same on my receipt. I threw the bags away or else I would look at them. I kept the cards so I can take photos of them for reference! I'll get on it tomorrow after work!

I found Wave 2 (For the US I guess? It's the wave 3 packaging) here at the Escondido TRU. Haven't seen them at the ones closer to me, I was up there for a birthday party and stopped by, and they had a whole box of them. Nothing else tho...lol.

I just found a fresh, untouched purple box in the Plymouth, MA Walmart. But they are no longer there, because I bought them all. Working in electronics in Walmart does have its benefits. It's very easy to stalk the toy department. ;)

Found Wave 3 at TRU in Winchester, VA......Yeah, it was an hour drive from me, but with BOGO on ponies, I couldn't resist.....The downside was that their whole pony section...was an endcap :(

The serial code says that it's 01, which is Applejack. I don't plan on opening the bag though because I already bought the entire wave 4 set through eBay before these bags hit my store (teehee). I'm sending her to a friend instead, who doesn't know the numbers, so it'll be a surprise for her :)

truevampiress - it's been confirmed that the USA will not be receiving the Wave 2 blind bags, as far as I am aware. I've tried contacting Hasbro on the matter and they have told me that even if they were arriving here, they would not be allowed to tell me.
It's sad, because I have to pay for them at such inflated prices overseas, but I am unsure if any retailer is even still actively selling Wave 2 bags for US buyers to get a hold of them :S

truevampiress - You're telling me! I'm only short by 4 of them (thru buying them on eBay) and the fact that stores have stopped selling them means that nobody has extras that I can purchase.
If we're lucky, perhaps Hasbro will release them out of order, but with all of these sightings of Wave 3 and Wave 4 bags coming out all at once, I doubt we're going to see a logical trend. They're likely speeding us up to hit the new leaked Wave 5 ponies (which include alicorns Celestia, Luna, and Cadance, the new cash-cow for Hasbro).

Well our Angola meijer skipped Wave 3 entirely and went from Wave 1 bags to stocking Wave 4 (they didn't even clear the remaining Wave 1 bags out of the end-cap, they just... dumped Wave 4 bags on top of it). So distribution here in the States is either very spotty or no order is really expected here.

I've checked two Targets, two Meijers, TRU, and one Walgreens here in Grand Rapids, MI... no Wave 3 yet. :( I see that there have been a couple reports from MI though, so hopefully they will show up soon. I really want Big Mac! ^^

I found wave 3 today. Nope! I just took the box up there with the bags in it and the lady asked me if I wanted the box too and I said yes so she just put them back in the box, put the box in a bag, and off I went. I did the same thing when I bought my first wave at JCPenney a long time ago. If you're buying the whole box, no reason you shouldn't be able to keep it. It's not like they re-use them, they just put a fresh box out.
Any one else notice that Rarity glows WAY better than the other two?

Someone (HOW CUTE?!!) left a checklist behind, but I hope someone else can use them to find the ones they really want since it had all the numbers listed on it with the names!
It'd be so neat if we all went around leaving little notes with numbers and names to help kids/fans find the ones they are in serious like with!

Wave 3 has been spotted at the Walmart in Killeen Texas! Though maybe someone else like SurfStar has already posted this. It looked like they had already put out at least 2 boxes maybe more. I found 2 of some and none of others. No Big Mac or NoteWorthy. :( I found about 1/2 of the ones I do want though so thats good! Shouldn't be long before I find them all!
Oh and some of these bag's flaps were taped down too so you couldn't read the numbers. :eyes roll: I untaped some so I could read the numbers. Does anyone feel that is wrong? I felt a little bad when I was doing it. Like I was cheating or something. But I wasn't opening the packages of course! I'm sorry hasbro, but I just don't want to buy tons of them and end up with tons of money wasted on duplicates. Hasbro is still selling plenty of them even with us knowing the numbers... arn't they? :huh:

I would guess it was the retailer rather than Hasbro as if Hasbro didnt want us to know then they would simply make them actual blind bags with no codes - a lot of other blind bag toys have no give away codes on them. However, perhaps retailers are fed up with not being able to shift certain bags - I mean how many of us need yet another BB Twilight Sparkle. :P

don't know if i posted, but my local TRU here in west palm beach had wave 2/3 (nearly empty box).. and my walmart had all wave 2/3 (bought the whole box for myself).
other then that, my target got in wave one today.. thought that was weird.

Got lucky! Brand new box of wave 4 in Walmart Belton Texas! :biggrin: I sifted the main 6 out and bought all the rest. I left the box behind though if anyone wants it.
Plus wave 3 is in Killeen so I was able to get nearly all of them in the past 3 days! Still need Note Worthy and a few others though.

I found blue bag wave 4 blind bags in a Meijer in Hazel Park MI. They had 22 still. I bought them and wrote down the codes, preliminary codes say I'm missing 4 ponies. I will be opening them tomorrow. Will report back. So very excited!!!

Found a ton of wave 4 and a few wave 3 at my Meijer a few days ago!! They only had 7 wave 3 bags left... and I found Big Mac! :D I couldn't believe no one had taken him!
I bought him (of course) then came back a few days later and bought a metallic AJ from wave 4. ^^

Edit: By midwest, I mean : most of their stores are in Michigan (as that is where they started) but there are many stores in Indiana, and some in Illinois, Ohio, and I think 2 or 3 in Kentucky. They're planning to expand to Wisconsin, but I am not sure when that will be.

My sister's boyfriend owns a toy store and he ordered a box for me when he put in his stock order with Hasbro. He told me Hasbro doesn't let you choose which wave, they just send you what they have in stock.
I got a Wave 4 box from it. Which tells me that's what they're sending out to stores now! We should be seeing more Wave 4 and 3 boxes!

Saw a completely empty Wave 3 box today at Walmart :( so of course I had to check the other Walmart in my area and no Wave 3 but they had a Wave 4 box that still had a few bags in it! So now I've got 6 ponies from that wave :) but now I'll be driving myself nuts until I can complete the set :argh: I hope they re-stock soon.

Walmart in Exton seems to get pretty well-stocked with blind bags Wave 3. At least until I came through on Monday and bought the box of 11 on the shelf.
Have some traveling coming up so I'll be able to check Walmarts in York and NC.

I would try checking sites like Taobao but I have now idea how to navigate the site. If I search "my little pony" I get no results, which makes me think I need to be searching in Chinese? But I don't trust google translate as far as I can throw it :S

Hasbro won't confirm it. I doubt, at this point, wave 2 will make it here. If all of the "leaks" for Blind Bags are legitimate, Hasbro already has a lot of other things set up for release besides those particular blind bags uAu

On Wednesday I found a mostly empty box of Wave 3s next to a half full box of wave 1s at the Wal-Mart near me. I grabbed what I needed (which included an opened Cherry Berry) and left the ones I didn't in the wave 1 box so I could take the wave 3 box. Now I just need two more and I need to find the wave 4s since I haven't gotten any of those yet.

Oh darn, I should have grabbed more Wave 2 whilst I had the chance... there were *loads* online here! I just sold all mine off to the super-secret-pony-people as super-secret-possibly-prizes for later this year. I had three Blossomforths at one point!
I can get wave 3 & 4 here in town still, they don't seem to be that popular on the Isle of Man. the downside is that they're £1.99 per bag, which is, what, $4? I can't always check codes either but if people want them I can try and get them.

Plymouth, MA Walmart has a full box of Wave 3, with one random Wave 1 pack sitting on top. Kingston, MA TRU has about 3/4 full box of Wave 1. And Target in Kingston, MA has a full box of Wave 1. No sign of Wave 4 in any stores around here yet. I bought mine online.

I don't know if this has been posted about, but Target finally has the blind bags. They currently only have wave 1, but it's a start! They came out with their July 29th restocking along with the royal wedding and crystal palace stuff (picked over so fast, let me tell you!). This is at the Target in Minnetonka, MN.
I haven't been to our local TRU (also Minnetonka) since like a week and a half ago, but they had the wedding stuff out sooner, and had what was left of the wave 1 blind bags hanging on the wall instead of taking up room in a box. So I think once those go they'll set out the wave 3's :)

They have two full boxes of wave 1 and I am wondering if they are simply waiting for them to be sold before they stock the new ones. I'd buy the whole dang case if they'd check the back and find them for me. I want them NOW! Tired of waiting! LOL

I went on another hunt for these today. I've checked four Wal-Marts physically and called many others. Is it just me or is it hard to get someone to go check on something for you in the toy department? It's like they just keep transferring you to someone else or you are on hold forever and no one picks up. I wonder half the time if anyone is even really checking! Kinda frustrating. Since everyone is finding both waves I am afraid I will somehow miss out on them. Wave 1 was pretty spotty at my Wal-Mart and I wanna make sure I have an opportunity to get them all. I want them so bad! I sure hope I find them soon.

I just call one Walmart and have them look up the UPC and tell me the inventory in each store. Then I can call and have someone in Toys/Electronics go look and tell me if they actually have them on the shelf, and if so what color the bag is.
For your store, ask them to check inventory and tell you how many they show: if it is at least 24 more than they have on the shelf, there is probably an un-opened box in back you can have them get for you.
Never hurts to ask! Be brave!

I'm getting a tad bit annoyed here. It seems like everyone but Illinois has these things! Has anyone here found anything but Wave 1? None of my Walmarts have blindbags at all, and at the two TRUs near me have boxes of Wave 1, some ever have full boxes behind open ones! :rant: I just want my ponies!!
One little story I have is while checking the numbers to find the last Wave 1 pony I needed, (special edition Twilight) some girl who was probably about 6 watched me and then tried to look at the numbers after I stopped. :P

And then of course the main 6 that we already have. And then are some of the target glittery ones repeats from this set, or are they slightly different?
Trying to come up with a list of exactly which ones I will need to trade for or go to ebay for. I want one of each pony that is made so I don't have to buy the ones that I can get in the toys r us set etc....

Kmart just put out wave 1. They are in the front of the store in the large MLP/LPS? hang box, near the collector cards.

Ok thanks for that info. So you can ignore the main 6 and those 3 that are in the ponyville pack. So of the 24, 9 of them I don't need to track down. Are any of the glitter ones the same as the new target glitter pack? I thought I read that one of them was a repeat? Anyone know for sure?

I called my local Wal-Mart and they have a box in the back. They are going to call me back when they get to it and let me know if it has purple or blue bags. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be one of the new waves.
I'm supposed to hear from them in an hour. If they have the ones I need, I am gonna jump in the car for a late night trip to Wally World! LOL. The problem? It's storming outside right now. But I'm desperate enough to trek the soggy, slippery highways if it's ponies I need!

I don't even think that the Walmarts near me even got in Wave 3. I've been going there often this summer (at least a few days each week), and I've never seen Wave 3 of the shelves. Seemed like the stores that I know carry the blind bags went from Wave 1 to Wave 4. :(
...Unless someone bought a whole Wave 3 case/box when they did get them in. lol

I haven't seen Wave 4 yet, though I am glad I bought all of Wave 3 when I saw them in stock! Our Wal-Mart got in one box of Wave 3 and has just left the nearly-empty box there (I say "nearly empty" because it still has 2 opened and empty bags, a lonely Pinkie Pie, and an empty case and discarded wrapper to a Nirvana CD...)

Hoping I eventually find wave 3. I've been calling a lot of Wal-Marts and many of them are in the process of redoing their toy mod. Most of them have blindbags in the back of the store but are in a hard to reach area on a pallet high up in the steel. I am wondering if they all have wave 4 or if maybe they get a random box and some of them have wave 3. I hope I get lucky and manage to find an entire case of wave 3 ponies.
Oh, and I went to TRU today and they had the collectors pack with Nightmare Moon. Whoohoo!

Haha good! And yaaay! Congrats! Both Walmarts I went to had wave 3, so they are being shipped to them for sure. I know it's annoying now to find them but I'm sure in a few months we'll be all ugghh wave 4 still!? XD

My Wal-Mart has only ever had one case of wave 3s. I found it when it was about half empty so I took the ones I wanted as well as the box (I wanted a box from each wave) and I threw the rest of the wave 3 packs into the wave 1 box that was sitting next to it. The next time I came back, the wave 3s were gone, and there were still like 8 or so wave 1s. Then today, I saw just 4 packs of wave 1s. I asked an employee and she said if there's another box in the back, it would be on a pallet and she can't get it, but that I should check back after they reset the toy section. When I asked when that would be, I was just told "sometime after Sunday".

Which island? Long Island??? I'm not finding them ANYWHERE!! I even checked Wal-Mart in Centereach and they told me they stopped selling ponies COMPLETELY!! There wasn't even a spot on the shelf where they would be.

I've only seen Wave 1's in two stores around here... TRU and Kmart. (They had one of those tall, long dispenser type boxes completely full sitting on one of the register counters so there was no way for me to look through them without pulling them all out.) Luckily TRU had 5 or so in one box, and a brand new one behind it. Left two Fluttershys there, now that I think about it.. rats. x.x
Walmart literally had one W1 blind bag stuffed into a box with Strawberry Shortcake blind bags. Sweetcream Scoops, it was.. haven't seen them since unless they're hiding in another part of the store.

Wahoo!! Finally found Wave 2 yesterday at a Walmart grand opening. Looks like they had a box or two combined. So happy to complete that wave. Now onto trying to find wave 3!!! Even saw wave 1 at Target for the first time but they are 2.99.
Also picked up the free posters at the closer Walmart and the large plush RD. :D

SQUEE! SQUEE! I stopped by TRU today, and guess what they had? Wave 3! Finally! I feel like we're the last to get them. I got 5 (along with that daisy dreams scooter set) and get Big Mac (had him from the apple family set), Sea Swirl, LoveStruck, NoteWorthy, and Twilight. Now all I can think about is going back to get more!

Finally i have found blind bags at the toys r us on brossard Quebec Canada on special for 2.97 plus the taxes. walmart also has them but they are 3.87 each. These are the blue bags wave 4. i bought 10 of them and will go check out the codes to see who i have.
so i went to that code website and none of the numbers are matching up. is it because i am in Canada?

My local Wal-Mart that's about a mile from my home still hasn't restocked anything new and they claimed it was due to some inventory error and they wouldn't be done until Friday at the earliest, so I decided to go to the other Wal-Mart that is about 8 miles south of where I live. The longer trip paid off. It's a smaller Wal-Mart out in the middle of nowhere (off the highway, though, so mostly just travelers shop there) so they don't tend to run out of stock of the toys as quickly. I found a half full box of wave 3s as well as the plushies I was looking for.
I grabbed all of them except Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack (I can't seem to ever get rid of the main six blind bags, so I didn't want them) and ended up with Meadow Song, Sprinkle Stripe, Lyra Heartstrings, Lucky Dreams, Lovestruck, Noteworthy and the three glow in the dark ponies. Lovestruck, Noteworthy, Sprinkle Stripe and Lucky Dreams are duplicates, so they'll go in my trade list, but from what I've seen, wave 3 seems more rare than wave 4, and I only need wave 4 blind bags now.

Yes, we have different codes. The only thing that matters, though, is the second and fourth number in the 5-digit code printed on the bag...for example 80652 is 05. Don't worry about the 1st, 3rd and 5th digits. I've done that, and used the strawberry reef guide, and they've all been right, so far.

I've seen all waves (1,3 and 4) scattered all around 3 local Walmarts and one Target. One of the Walmarts had newly stocked stuff including the wave 4 box and I was able to get all 3 of the metallic ponies :D yay~. Got them in Brownsville, TX :).

I haven't seen blindbags at Target at all. TRU an hour away from me had one single W1 left and Walmart here just put out another wave 4 out which I already have. Looks like we are going to get skipped by W3 here which totally sucks. Kmart had a single W1 left too. Seriously, what is with the meager spread of W3? That and today I went to Target and they finally got the wave with Cherry Berry but of course there was no Lyra left...someone took all of her and Trixie and left the other two which I already have. I went to a Walmart an hour away and they had more blindbags in back and the walmart plushies but couldn't get to them while I was there. Super frustrated with this.

There are now multiple codes across Wave 3 and Wave 4 - probably due to the number of countries which are getting them - the key is to ignore the first, third and fifth digits no matter what they are :)

In my area all the Walmarts are barren, few Targets seem to have any blind bags anymore (maybe they sold out fast?), and the TRU only has the pink bags right now.

Has anyone heard of the stores FYE and Newbery Comics? I know these are 'chain stores' but I'm not sure how far the chains have spread--possibly only in New England. I found the purple blind bags at both these stores at my local mall. The prices were a little outrageous though. FYE (which is short for For Your Entertainment I think...) had them for $3, but Newbery Comics charged a whopping $5 each!

I'm going to check my FYE too, thanks for the tip! $3 is what my TRU has the pink ones for and I never saw them for another price until I found blue boxes at Walmart this past weekend for $1.97.

I only found one blue bag at a walmart. It was obvious a collector beat me to the box because it was completely empty and had it not been for someone misplacing a bag on the shelf, I would not have this one. Houston Texas....get more bags...this was very sad...nothing was left at all for me..sigh....I am taking it hard.

A collector must be out in my area too.....or just a fan of the show. Just a couple days ago my Wal-Mart had a full case of the blue bags. I went back last night and they were all gone.

Most of the Walmarts in Corpus Christi, TX have the Wave 4 bags.
It makes me wonder if they had Wave 3 at some point since I wasn't there during the summer (went back home for summer vacation).

I found wave 4 at Wal-Mart, they had two boxes of it out. One was unopened. I left them for others to buy, I already bought a full box for myself when they first came out. I've had more luck at Wal-Mart then at Target or Toys-R-Us so far for these...

Target in Houma, LA seems to have wave 1 and wave 3 blind bags. I bought the rest they had yesterday of wave 3 (about 16 with 2 that are in bad condition, along with the box). They put out a wave 1 today. I'm gonna go ask tomorrow to check and see if they got a purple one in the back somewhere^^

My closest WalMart finally had Wave 4 out. Unfortunately, I should've checked sooner as there were only five left in the lone box they had out. However, they all turned out to be ones I needed (no doubles!), so I was a happy camper. :)

I live in San Diego CA and the Walmart in the Poway area had Wave 3 and has sold out. I haven't checked since last week so they may have restocked them or gotten Wave 4 in. CVS Pharmacy has Wave 1 but more expensive than Walmart. TRU in Escondido CA has Wave 1 still, they had one lonely Roseluck in the box last week. I also saw Wave 3 at Sam Goody in the Horton Plaza mall in downtown SD.

Just found wave4 in woodland,ca. It seemed like a pretty full box. I bought 6. I wish my local Walmart would get BBs in again. They only had 1 box of wave3 as far as i could tell,, and checked pretty much every week

Well, my local Wal-Mart finally got a wave 4 box, but apparently I was a few hours too late because the box was empty. I found an employee stocking toys in another aisle and asked him if they by chance had another box in back, and he scanned it and it said there were 14 in stock. I thought maybe it was a typo and it meant 24, which would mean an unopened box since clearly there weren't 14 out on the shelves. But he went in back and checked, then another employee also checked and he finally said it was an error and there aren't anymore in stock. He said they can order more, but it will take about 2 weeks. I'm headed to the other Wal-Mart tomorrow and hopefully that one will have the wave 4s since I just cleared out the wave 3s the other day.

Finally found an FYE at a mall in my city. Went and they had half a box of Wave 3 BB left. I luckily found 3 I needed but at $3 ea quite pricey. Oh well I suppose for the harder to find items it's worth it. Just wish these new waves would stick around a bit longer.

Not necessarily. I've found a wave 3 box at both of my local Wal-Marts. The one closest to me, I last found a box a month ago, and since then, they've only gotten one wave 4 box, which sold out immediately. The other Wal-Mart, which is about 8 miles away from me, had a wave 3 box just a few days ago, which I cleared out. It does seem, though, like Wal-Mart only orders 1-2 boxes at a time (I guess they figure 24 per box is supposed to last? lol) so once someone buys out the box, they then have to order again. And apparently Hasbro didn't make as many boxes of wave 3 (doesn't surprise me since they're trying to catch up now that they know how popular these are) and are now only shipping boxes of wave 4. At this point, I'm glad I finished my wave 3 collection since I don't imagine I'll see any more in the stores. Now if I can only find a box of wave 4s that isn't empty.

Last time I was at my TRU, they had a nearly-full Wave 1 box. Hopefully they eventually get Wave 3 so I can get Lyra and the Glow in the Dark ponies. Kicking myself in the butt for not buying them when I was visiting NYC.

Found another box of Wave 4 at walmart last night, they had a lot left (mainly ones I didn't want/had) so I got 4. Target and TRU had only wave 1. Haven't seen any wave 3 yet but I'll check out a different TRU. I did see some at FYE but this was before I was into buying blind bags (a couple months ago maybe?) so I don't know if they have anymore or which wave they do have so I'll have to go back and check there too.

Thats so frustrating! Have you asked if they can order you a box in? Although knowing the order system you could end up with something completely different! I know some stores in the UK will order items in subject to the retailers own policies - I guess most would prefer you to buy something from them than try somewhere else.

She has always been super popular right from the start when those little see though boxes which contained a blind bag each were released and Fluttershy was missing from the set. So I think a lot of people who only ever wanted the main 6 may sometimes be still missing her and thats why she vanishes fast from boxes...just a theory!

I do try. Note that I'm mostly just trying to gather pony stuff to offer to people that want it. So, they are on my trade/sale list essentially at-cost. Could even meet for the swap and save postage.
Whether such meet-up is considered a 'date' is on a case-by-case basis. :blush:

Went to Wal-Mart today- all they had was an empty Wave 4 box with 1 opened, empty and torn bag in it. I *did* pick up a Twilight and Pnkie plush, though. Some 20-something-ish guy who worked there saw me with the Pinkie Pie, his eyes bulged out and then he GUSHES: "Oh WOW! You got PINKIE PIE?! My daughter is gonna be so PISSED! She LOVES those things! She has the blue Nightmare Moon, and the wedding castle with the guy and bride. You should get that one, it's really cool." So I show this guy the empty box of BB's and ask him if there are more in the back. He follows me into the MLP aisle and another guy co-worker (who also seems unusually interested) walks up and just hangs out watching his friend get excited over spotting Cherry Berry ("oh, wow- Cherry Berry! Sunny Rays!) the new guy asks his friend if he would like him to purchase a pony for him to play with. Then I said he knew too much to NOT be a collector. His reply to his co-worker? "Their value decreases once you de-box them!" BRONY IN DA HOUZZZZZZ!!!!! Lolol
Ps- When I called him a "BRONY", he denied it. Funny that he already knew what a BRONY was ;)

I found a complete box of the wave 3 blind bags at my local Toys R Us (CT) last week, I bought the whole thing and some other MLP :blush: I have yet to see the blind bags at any of the local Targets and my local Walmarts are perpetually out of them >_<

I asked back when I found the empty box and was told no by the zone manager. Of course, neither of the local Wal-Marts have gotten the posters, so I guess I'm not too surprised.

Walmart: Empty W3 box at one store, almost empty W4 box at another in early Aug. haven't seen anything since.

TRU: W3 in early Aug. and re-stocked about a week ago.
Target: W3 starting seeing about a week ago in 2 stores.
California (Sacramento area):
Walmart: W4 in 2 different stores mid-late Aug.
I've been able to complete my Wave 3s but am still missing just 2 ponies from Wave 4. I hope more blue boxes show up.

One thing that did frustrate me though is it's hard to read the numbers printed on the bags. I had a cheat sheet and it was useless. I ended up just buying a full case of them even though I know I have at least eight duplicates. I know I can use some of them for swaps that I am in, so it isn't a bother. The others will be used to decorate my cubicle at work, LOL. If my boss doesn't mind.
But still! I was overjoyed! I thought I'd NEVER find them. So I'm all caught up on blind bags released in the US. Whoohoo!

Hopefully, they'll appear in my area. I am getting tired of seeing either Wave 1 or Wave 4s in all the stores I go to.

Wave 3 are the crystal ones? If so, they've shown up in southwest Florida which are the FIRST ones I have seen here. They also revamped the whole pony section in the Wal-Mart I found them in so maybe they'll get more new stuff. Up until now they still had 3.5s on the shelves!
I got four, the box was still pretty full. I didn't have a key on me because I honestly didn't think we'd ever get them here, lol. I managed to get four different ones though so I'm pretty happy! I'll probably go back with the key and get the rest.
edit: The back of the bags say they were distributed in New Zealand. I thought that was odd XD

The TRU here in Silverdale said they ordered 9 boxes! I told them they were really popular so they got a whole bunch!
Walmart in Bremerton hasn't gotten new blindbags in a month. They aren't sure when they are getting more, but they will get them. The problem is that people buy them all and they're gone and Walmart hasn't been able to restock them.

So my walmart just restocked another box of wave 4's and on a whim I picked up another Twilight Sky ('cuz he's just so awesome). I noticed the new one's eyes are a much darker shade. It would actually be a neat difference if they were properly aligned, unfortunately one of them is a little wonky.
Anyways, part of the reason I originally found Twilight Sky so charming is because his eyes match his cutie mark. It actually annoys me that on the non-glittery version of him we've seen, they changed the color of his cutie mark to some ugly tan color. *pouts* But that's not the point.
At first I thought maybe it was just a normal variation in the paint color the way some of the clear blindbags have a variation in the color of the plastic, but then another thought occured to me. I didn't get any of the other boys from this wave, but from pictures it looks like he might have gotten Mosely Orange's eyes. What do you think?

Kmart: was $2.99, currently $1.50 at some stores! (only Wave 1 so far).
Walmart: $1.98
Sears Grand: $1.99
Toys R Us: $2.99

I found a full box of the Purple wave!!!! FINALLY! I was able to get the ones I needed and I picked up the boys for trading.
It was funny, I just looked yesterday and they didn't have them, but decided to check in one more time today. They were not on the pony shelf (which did have a box of the pink bags), but were on the opposite shelf with other toys. They surprised me when I turned around.
They also have 5 Zecoras.

Anyways, part of the reason I originally found Twilight Sky so charming is because his eyes match his cutie mark. It actually annoys me that on the non-glittery version of him we've seen, they changed the color of his cutie mark to some ugly tan color. *pouts* But that's not the point.
At first I thought maybe it was just a normal variation in the paint color the way some of the clear blindbags have a variation in the color of the plastic, but then another thought occured to me. I didn't get any of the other boys from this wave, but from pictures it looks like he might have gotten Mosely Orange's eyes. What do you think?

His eyes do look different but personally I would put that down to the sheer quantity of them being produced and different batches in manufacturing.

The Wal-Marts in the Sarasota County area in Florida all stocked Wave 4 directly after Wave 1 for some reason. Me and my pals can't find Wave 3 anywhere, not even at TRU. It's driving us up the wall. D:
I'm still bummed that Wave 2 isn't over here yet. Tealove is hands-down my favorite blindbag and now I don't think I'll ever be able to get her. ;A;

My local Walmarts got wave 3 and then wave 4 months ago and only had wave 4 for quite a while. But, just last week several of them got end-cap dispensers full of wave 3!

I think the purple end-cap has been there for a while (not absolutely sure at this Lindon store), but the blue Blind Bag dispensers are definitely new (and filled with 48 purple wave 3 blind bags each).

The poster box was there too, hidden on another shelf, mostly full. I grabbed a few spares if anyone needs (free, just shipping).

I found wave 1 bags at Kmart, Walgreens, Walmart, TRU, and Hot Topic. However I think I bought up most of those in the area and haven't seen any more boxes show up.
Only thing is I think Kmart is getting rid of theirs as last I saw they had 2 left of wave 3 bags. Same with Walgreens. The wave 3 bags there were on clearance and in their new section of various other blind bag toys there were no MLP boxes.
The only place I've seen them regularly is Walmart. Although I've been seeing lots of Blue bag boxes with wave 3 bags in them. And the endcap displays at a few walmarts too for a while now. Not sure where are all the blue bags went so fast.
TRU brought out a new box of wave 3 for me and mentioned having another box in the back, which wave idk but I assume probably another wave 3. THey don't seem to go through them very fast though.
Seems like my places to find new bags are getting smaller. At least we have several Walmarts to stalk. :/

My walmart in TN, Had the purple blind bags, 2 purple cases, which I picked thru got the ones I needed and then they sat there for like 3 weeks. I think there is me and like 2 other people into ponies down here. The stuff sits forever. We actually just got trading cards back in. The tins also, but they got 6. and they have been bought already.
We have tons of the blue glitter blind bags in, they keep getting them.
We didnt get the endcap display that has been popping up in stores, or the posters. So good on the blindsbags, sad on the posters. lol.

Our Walmart just got the endcap side boxes for the Wave 3 (purple) blind bags! First time Wave 3 has gotten here. Of course I bought most of mine in the twin cities over labor day weekend but I did buy the last 2 I needed Apple Dazzle and Glow TS!

Speaking of these: I just found something that I haven't been able to find any info on, and it's driving me nuts. The Spa Pony set came with the usual flyer showing other stuff avalable, and it shows the wave 4 blind bags. But, instead of glittery they're painted normally, and the bag is a dark bluish purple. Are we getting a different version of wave 4? :brow:
It also showed 2 more things I haven't seen yet. 2 "princess and friend" sets (brushable size): Luna and Rarity, and white Celestia and Pinkie.

Grrrr :stressed: I hope we don't get skipped with wave 5 like we did with wave 2 :sad: :jealous:. There are quite a few in that wave that I want. I really don't even want wave 6 since it's just solid copies of wave 4. So are the clear BB's wave 7 or another store set?
Since Walmart sold out of the wave 3 they had, they haven't restocked. Target here still does not have blind bags at all. They didn't even restock the trading cards. Kmart is the only one moving forward it seems. They went from wave 1 to wave 4.

Wave 5 already has a confirmed US release so I don't think it will pass you guys by. The new leaflet with Wave 6 is really for the start of the next batch of ponies - it should be a couple of months at least before these are in stores.

Found 9 yellow bags in a blue bag box at TRU yesterday! Managed to even get 5 of the 9 from that set that I wanted!

I've seen both the yellow Blindbags (Wave 5) and the Purple (Wave 6, Star series) blindbags... at the SAME Walmart this week.
I was in there Friday, and there was an empty yellow box. :sad:
Went back Sunday, hoping they had restocked it... and WHAM-O... they had a semifull box of Wave 6 in its place! :whoa:
I'm hitting another one today (the two others I hit yesterday still have 2 or 3 boxes of Wave 4 just lingering...)
I'm hoping they have more new BBs! I need ALL of Wave 5... and now just a few fill ins for Wave 6! :frolic:
All this after I found a full box of Yellow Blindbags at my TRU a week or so ago... Didn't buy any because I was waiting for Walmart to get them, or a B1G1 deal at TRU... :lol:

I found Wave 5 at TRU on Saturday, but I'm waiting for them to show up at Wal-Mart so I can get them for $2 a piece instead of $3. I really want all of 5 and 6!

I haven't seen any blind bags at all in my area since like early October. Once Walmart sold out of the two wave 4 boxes it had, they never got any more. They even removed the tag from the shelf for the blind bags. The Target near me never got any blind bags at all and I've never seen any at K-Mart. I hope my Walmart will restock them after Christmas at least. But with them removing the shelf tag, it's not looking too good.

So. I'm walking past the pony section in walmart like I always do. I notice they restocked a TON of blue bags. I was about to walk away when a spot of yellow stopped me. WAVE 5!! The box wasn't there but the bags were. And my phone was dead!!!
I had to feel for them. I thought I got the princeses but nope..I did get breezie and Flitterheart tho!

Yup Marona is correct - the codes are really simple - no matter the wave all you have to do is dismiss the 1st, 3rd and 5th numbers and focus on digit 2 and digit 4.

Wave 5 and 6 have shown up at my local Walmart. Hopefully they get more of wave 5 in though because there was only one of those and I missed quite a few of the ones I really wanted. They got two cases of Wave 6 and still had a box and a half of wave 4 on the shelf at the same time.
